Only if he changes the rules.
This idea of a celibate clergy came from the Jews, John the Baptist, Jesus, and the Apostle Paul.
The Jews. The Talmud argues that a person whose “soul is bound up with the Torah and is constantly occupied with it” may remain celibate (Maimonides, Laws of Marriage 15.3). For example, Yahweh ordered the prophet Jeremiah not to marry (Jeremiah 16:1-4). Moreover, the Essenes was a group that was active in Jesus’ time that practiced celibacy and thought by most scholars to be the authors of the Dead Sea Scrolls.
WWJD? What would Jesus do? Jesus did not marry.
John the Baptist and Jesus are both believed to have been celibate for their entire lives. Some scholars believe that the example of the Essenes influenced either or both Jesus and John the Baptist in their celibacy.
The Apostle Paul is explicit about his celibacy (see 1 Cor. 7). There is also evidence in the gospel of Matthew for the practice of celibacy among at least some early Christians, in the famous passage about becoming “eunuchs for the sake of the kingdom of heaven” (Matt. 19:12).
The concept took many twists and turns over the years and will probably take a few more before Christ returns in glory.
With love in Christ.

Nope. A Pope can never get married. That "every so many years" thing is a myth.
...Well actually, Eastern Catholic (as opposed to Roman Catholic) Priests can marry and if an Eastern Catholic Priest who was married became the Pope there would be a married Pope. It has never happened though.

In general, ministers of the Catholic faith are not supposed to get married. There are exceptions, usually stemming from ministers of non-Catholic affiliation moving to the Catholic faith and are already married...
As far as "every so many years," I don't think there is any time leeway...
This does lead to many questions and controversies. For instance, if Peter is the first pope (according to the Catholic church), and Peter is married (Matthew 8: 14-15 tells of an account where Jesus healed Peter's mother-in-law; this does infer that for Peter to have an in-law, he must be married), why don't popes (or any minister for that matter) get married?
Regardless, if Catholic law to date be strictly followed, a minister in the Catholic faith cannot get married barring a minister already married transfers denominations...

a Pope cannot get married. there is only one Pope at a time, and they've never been supposd to get married. the Pope is Catholic and Catholic priests cannot be married; the Pope is the highest you can get in the Catholic priesthood. doesn't mean that there weren't Pope's who cheated or tried to break the rule in the past but the rule is: No.

No, no catholic priest can get married, the pope IS a catholic priest, therefore he can't, he would have to renounce to papacy and priesthood, so he would be a married ex-pope, but not actually a married pope.

No, popes haven't been allowed to marry in about 1700 years, since before priests were forced to stay celebate even. Whoever told you different, is either pulling your leg, or just trying to raise trouble.

They choose abstinence and celibacy. Catholocism allows no priests to marry or to have sexual relationships of any kind. The Pope is the Highest Diocese..and definitely has to set that example.

Um, no, it would go completely against the teaching of celibacy in Catholicism. Priests can't marry either for the same reason (Catholic priests).

Catholic priests take a vow of celibacy. Rabbis, on the other hand, have a duty to marry.
