This guy I like, ever since he looked through my phone #'s on my cell and another time his friend asked to use my phone and instead went through my #'s and text's and showed him, everytime he gets my phone he wants to see if there's any new boy #'s... We don't go out, it's kinda just a thing we have. and I have a lot of -male- friends.. So what does this mean? What is he thinking?

It means he doesn't trust you, he's insecure and probably jealous. Let him continue doing that if it's not gonna bother you in the long run but my advice to you is tell, explain to him that you can be trusted and he has nothing to be insecure about, off course your words should go with your action then he'll definitely begin to trust you, eventually.

If you're not even 'dating' yet, it's a little early for him to be having suspicions and acting that way. I'm guilty of the same behavior, but that's after a year and a half relationship with good reason to be suspicious on my part. Anyway, if he's that paranoid this early on, it's probably a good idea to hold off on any advancements in dating with this guy.
This behavior is usually consistant with guys that don't trust their girlfriends and have reason to be suspicious that they may soon be fighting a losing battle just to keep their girl.

well, there could be two things.
one: he is searching if you are having any other type of relationship than the one that you have with him right now.
two: probably fishing out if you have the number of a girl that he or his friend want to meet. (a possible textmate or future gf)

It is a good thing that you are not dating or serious about this guy. To me it means that he is insecure, jealous, manipulative, and controlling. I would but some distance between you and him.

It sounds to me like he likes you or cares about you and wants to make sure you're not involved with bad guys. Or he's crazy about you and wants to see if other people are providing him with competition.

Sounds like he'd like you to be his girl and his girl alone. Also, sounds as if he might be a little on the possessive side.Could be a good idea to stay away from him.

Um, he's passive-aggressively telling you that he likes you. If you like that sort of thing, hook up with him. But don't be surprised if he turns out to be a whiny and annoying boyfriend.

sounds like hes insecure, relationships arent good without trust and it sounds like he doesnt trust you, if you started dating him it would probably get worse and he would probably not like you talking to your guy friends. it happened to me and i regret it cause i lost all my friends cause of a guy like that, i thought it was kind of flattering at first but its not healthy cause jealousy makes for a lot of bad relationships
