Yes, and if you want to produce more, drink plenty of fluids including beer, pump every few hours and/or put your little one on the breast so he/she covers the full nipple. Best thing for you AND your baby.

The health and mental benefits are phenominal for both you and your wee one and cannot be measured when you breastfeed. That's the main reason why we have been given them and not for someone else's amusement or entertainment.

Maybe you have been given a second chance. Your milk could even be donated to a milk bank for babies who cannot tolerate artificial milk.

Happy Expressing! Good Luck!
The Diva, Darling!

PS - FYI - There are reports of women who adopted a baby, (I knew of one personally) can breastfeed, grandmothers who nursed when the mother died who breastfed and even of one man who under dire circumstances who did the same.

Yes you can.
You won't produce much, but if you want to increase your milk supply you can pump every few horus, as well as feed your baby with an SNS supplementing system that stimulates the milk production.
Its not too late to start breastfeeding.
