Do your currents know about it? Are they ok with it? If not, yes, it's cheating. How would you feel if your significant other were doing it? Don't try to make up excuses in an attempt to justify it, that's selfish. It doesn't matter that you haven't "actually done anything". Granted, its not quite as bad, but your current significant other is probably trusting you to be loyal, and you're violating that trust. Either end your current relationship, somehow manage to get your current significant other's approval, or stop cheating.

Cheating comes in two different varieties...
1. Physical cheating: You have sex with someone who isn't your spouse/ bf/gf/ significant other
2. Emotional cheating: You are having an emotional relationship with someone who isn't your spouse/ bf/gf/significant other..
Physical and emotional cheating mean you are not there 100% for your mate because your mind and /or body is fixated at least part time on someone else...
Just because you haven't done the dead doesn't mean you are not cheating....

Anything regarding other men that you have to hide may not be called cheating but if your current boyfriend found out he would probably feel like he had been cheated on. If your trying to figure out your feelings, be careful.

If you have to ask, then that means that you obviously think it is questionable at the very least, and in that situation I would stop what you are doing if you care about your relationship.
Furthermore, would you consider it cheating if your boyfriend had the same thing going on with his ex? Chances are you would not like it much.

My friend's guy recently found out that she had a months-long hands-off cyber affair with someone. (I had no idea, I found out from him.)
He said he would have preferred she had a one night stand.
I found that interesting so I brought it up with a different group of friends (both male and female) during a night out.
The results were splilt about 50/50, so I guess the only way you would know how your current guy would feel is to ask him.

Just ask yourself.......would you be 100% comfortable letting your bf read all your txt messages??? I think you know the answer to that.......it's cheating, not only is it cheating you're laying the foundation for something to happen, so I would suggest you stop it before it gets out of hand......

If you think its wrong and you know he think's its wrong then yes it is cheating. I believe in being open and honest is easier than sneaking around. But if you want to do this don't feel bad;unless you are married.

Kinda yes. Since your asking it you know it's wrong to do. Would you like it if your man was doing that with another woman behind your back? You need to be honest with your current b/f. If you need to text your ex with dirty messages its clear you want hI'm back and your current b/f deserves better then that. (im guessing)
