The hair of the dog. This is what I found on it. CHEERS!!!

The Bloody Mary, invented during the Roaring Twenties, is still touted as the ideal morning-after pick-me-up. There's also an evil-sounding but reputedly effective concoction called "Black Velvet," which consists of equal parts champagne and flat Guinness. Hemingway, it is said, relied on a tonic of tomato juice and beer.

I have a friend of Mexican descent who swears by menudo (boiled tripe, basically) first thing the morning after. Fatty, high-calorie foods have long been among the most popular homespun hangover cures. I'm told the ancient Romans ate fried canaries. The Greeks, on the other hand, found relief by munching on cabbage. Go figure.

Below is a short list of common home remedies reported by members of the Urban Legends and Folklore Forum:

* Tomato juice, aspirin and a long, hot shower
* Coffee made with tonic water, orange juice and honey
* Water, water, and more water
* Water and vitamin C (also, water and calcium)
* Water and vitamin B complex
* Vitamin E
* Buttermilk
* A "Red-Eye" — whiskey, coffee, Tabasco sauce, a raw egg, pepper and orange juice blended together
* Alternating between Pepto-Bismol and water
* Lots of icy-cold Coca Cola (not Diet Coke!)
* "Coating your stomach" before drinking with milk and/or bread and butter
* Vegemite on toast
* Vomiting before bedtime

Hydrate. Burnt toast can help a bit. Take slow sips of juice throughout the morning (not a lot). The problem is, your body can only process so much ethanol at a time. There is no way to speed the process up. Part of the problem with booze is all the nasty things (fusel oils) etc. that it brings with it. One of the best things to do is to add more water before you sleep it off. I've heard that activated carbon pills help too. Stick to the purest vodka you can, in moderate amounts. It will help reduce the side effects.

Try taking a pill called Chaser before you drink to prevent the hangover, is sold in most drug stores and department stores, in some gas stations too, but if you already have the hangover take some asprin and I like to drink Gatorade or Powerade, it rehydrates you, plus, unlike water, it also has your b vitamins in it.

It sounds crazy, but one day I was in a bar around 1:00pm for a pool tournament. I had been out the night before and looked like hell. (Felt like it too). This older chick who I could tell had been around the block a time or two ordered me a shot of tequilla rose. she promised me that it would cure my hangover quickly. and it really did work. if you don't like tequilla try something else with a milky texture. one shot and you'll feel better within a half hour. and it won't even make you sick!

I'm a bartender in Chicago, I drink on the job all the time. What works for me is when while Im drinking or before I go to bed I drink gatorade. Then you wont get a hang over at all!

Bloody Mary
or one slice of Lemon, put 1/2 teaspoon of ground coffee one one side and 1/2 teaspoon of sugar on the other. Eat the whole thing and drink plenty of water.
