they are merely masking each and every of the bases that they are in a position to. i'm confident their legal branch had some thing to do with that warning being positioned there. regrettably we are dwelling in a time the place some human beings do exactly not think of. An person would take some discomfort reliever made distinctly for a baby and then go and function a vehicle or heavy equipment, get injury (or killed) and then turn around and sue the producer simply by fact "it did not say so on the packaging".

Strange as it may seem, some people are prescribed children's medication. Since some active ingredients in such medications may impair judgement, the pharmaceutical companies are required by law to inform the public about this, which is why the phrase "do not use before work with heavy machinery" appears on the back of some children's medication.

I guess it's for the same reason as " This may contain nuts " on a bag of peanuts !! Or..." caution, this gets extremely hot " on an iron !! My favourite one ( and his is true) is the one that says " Do not put live animals in a microwave ) as some silly woman put her dog in it to dry it after a bath !!
Some people just aren't very bright my friend and the companies that make these things are covering their back, they don't want to get layers on their case !

Because if your 10 year old kid is out with your Peterbuilt on the L.I.E. at rush hour and she's feeling poorly, -you might suggest she lay off the Tylenol until she gets home. It can cause drowsiness- and worse.

Because we live in a culture of litigation the manufacturer is protecting themselves from being sued and fulfilling their duty of care to the end user. Other classics are "This appliance may become hot in use (electric iron) and my favourite "Remove child before operating" (Child's collapsible buggy)

Because sometimes adults take children Tylenol. Sometimes they can't take anything stronger. Just because it says children's doesn't mean its only for a child. Also search ingredients make that rule apply.

because adults can and do take childrens medicines, therefore the same warnings are on the childrens version as are on the adult one.
