When guys go for a dating event, all the men young and old flock towards the younger women. It's really sad for the older women because they are probably the same age as the older men but the men look at them like they are freaks or something.

Older men like younger women and younger men like older women... it is timeless. Younger women are attracted to older men because they often seem so smart and well rounded, they have more life experience and usually more money than the young dudes. The older man is in-turn attracted to the younger woman because he feels intelectually superior to her and can lavish her with the finer things of life... this feeds his ego and makes him feel good about himself. Then there is the sex, most guys were not Brad Pitt in high school, or college, but some success in life has made them more attractive to women... and most men are not going to turn down the flirtatious looks of any women. Why do you think men ruin so many marriges??? Most of these relationships are called May-December relationships because that is usually how long it takes for the young lady to realize that the older man is a putz, just like any guy, or for the older guy to realize that the younger women offers very little to his life besides smooth thighs.

I'm a 43 year old male and i prefer women closer to my age. Actually i'm dating a 37 year old right now and she is not very mature for her age. She has 3 girls ages 14, 16, & 17 and sometimes i think they may be more grown up than she is. She acts as though they're all sisters/best friends instead of mom/daughter. I have a daughter who will be 18 in a month and i love her with all my heart but she is still a kid and i can't see her dating anyone my age nor would i consider asking any of her friends out. I love all of them but the age difference is just too much. I've already lived a little and now is the time for them to live and learn.

As a guy I would say yes (personally though not necessarily) , for the simple reason of ego and security. Some guys as they get older feel that by having a younger partner by their side, they will feel younger by association and that a trophy wife will compensate for any other short coming they feel age has brought on (they seem to forget wisdom is an assett as is experience). Midlife crisis can be a biatch

I prefer more mature women for a few reasons. First, dropping off younger girls off at school can be a problem sometimes. Second, I like to be able to talk to a woman about music and know at least SOME of bands she likes. third and worst is when she says "My dad is just a few years younger than you."

Not Yet ... But i dun know y me too prefer younger girl ... although i am not old enough ... just 21 ...& i have heard about a logic & that is the sexual power of men remains constant if they have had sex with younger age girls & same is for women if they do sex with younger guys ... but its always shrtens the sexual power of the younger person .. either girl or guy

I think it is not about the age, but the person. If chemistry comes between two persons of very different ages, well, be it.
Remember here that the primal requisite for any relation is physical attraction between both parts.

basically yes, in a vain effort to stay young older guys will try for a young thing. but there is always the exception to the rule.
people are individuals and each have their own ideas so you can not categorise age groups

i am 46....and male
i think most men like to think that they can be attractive to younger women
for me, if i was "looking" i would be after a woman between 35-45, does that help?
