Hello,
There are 2 ways of doing it!
First, you can uncheck the box, that is set msgr at startup(by going to [Messenger--->preferences-->General] )
Second one(not for newbies and for windows), if u are the superuser i,e administrator , then u can type "msconfig" at "run" ("run" can be invoked in widows from [start--->run]) then using after u run [msconfig] u can see a custumizable "startup" in that, there u can uncheck the startup programs that u dont want to start at windows startup!
This is not only for IM but many unwanted programs can be stopped at startup! But take care u dont disable system applications from starting up!
Thanks,
Bye

If I understand correctly, you dont want the IM to get started when your PC get started. Click on Start, then Run, then type msconfig, a window will open, then click on "Start Up" tab. then uncheck the IM. Click on apply and ok. It will ask you to restart the your computer, click on "restart". Now when the computer gets restarted it will give a window just check the box "Don't show this message again......" and ok.

You should be able to open your IM preferences and tell it not to start on system boot-up but the easiest way is when you first install messenger on the computer it will ask if you want to be signed in automatically tell it no.

you in all probability at present put in a utility that generates those issues. a million) If the concern is recent, attempt a device restoration: initiate -> All courses -> upload-ons -> device kit -> device restoration once you're having issues gaining access to the commencing up menu, open a command instantaneous (homestead windows Key + "R") and type "%SystemRoot% system32 restoration rstrui.exe" (without the rates; eliminate the areas). 2) If the concern has been occuring for a on the same time as, attempt reinstalling homestead windows. sure, regrettably, you may could reinstall homestead windows periodically, particularly in case you install distinctive courses. reliable luck!

There is usually an option to start your messenger when windows starts, just uncheck that box and it won't start up the next time windows starts.
