I know a sport jacket with the jeans is oky but what about with tennis shoes?

Yeah, but leave the shirt untucked. I have a friend who does that. He wears like a fitted T Shirt from like abercrombie and fitch or american eagle. The soft cotton kind. Wear fitted bootcut jeans w/it. Just LEAVE THE SHIRT UNTUCKED!!! or you'll look like you're a stodgy old geezer who doesn't know how to dress. Also don't let the tshirt be "busy" if you know what I mean. Once solid color w/one graphic design or not alot of wording.

richie hon, that style is not really okay now unless you are a movie director (plus a ball cap) I wouldnt wear the sneaks.
