Ok, I actually mean this as a serious question, though it seems quite humorous.

Satan spends all of his time on us to create more work for himself in hell. God sits back and tells us to follow him, but doesn't do a lick of work to get us to. So, one would assume that Satan cares more about us and our souls than God, who does no work. So why don't we worship Satan, since he cares so much? I mean, maybe he tortures us cause he doesn't get any recognition for all that he does for us.

(Of course this is all going off of a christian faith, which I don't partake in, and I personally don't believe in Hell or Satan, I just want to know how people answer this.)

I know some people do worship him, I just want to know why some wouldn't.

Muslim - Have you ever met a true satanist? They're some of the nicest people ever, even if they tend to be on the wierd side. But that's a good thing.

rkirby1331 - Last time I checked, that's other christians and pastors or whatever, not god.

g_man - I wasn't actually sexually classifying him, but merely being lazy and using he to refer to Satan in third person.

But I would probably find Satan to be genderless, just like god.

missy answers - But is it not the dark lord whom is still working so hard for our souls, and is it not said that He is the one that tortures us in hell?

Do you think there will be enough chairs in hell? Cause that would be torture if there isn't.

MrsE - So you're saying that God willing allows us to be swayed by satan? And this shows that he cares about our souls? If anything, this shows that he doesn't care, and would rather find us worthy BUT that isn't enough. Life isn't enough, rather he has a guy pop cheap shot after cheap shot.

Also, why is him sending his son a bad thing? So he died, and got to go back to heaven, god knowing he would be worshipped for 2000+ years. He also knew that millions would die from this act, does this show he's a caring god, when he could have merely said "Eh, I'm gonna go ahead and just give them a clean slate."

Remember, god is omniscient, so he knows exactly what would happen.

Peace - Judging by your answer I'm assuming you're anti-semitic. I'm not even telling you to follow satan, I'm merely stating facts and hoping someone could clear it up for me.

Also, I'm not jewish, I have no religion and I'm not athiest. I have my own ideas.

Maria C - I'm using the christian belief. I personally believe we all make our own decisions, not some evil guy rubbing his hands evilling mumbling to himself.

And all that a child proves is innocence, and according to the Bible they even lack that.

vovòzinha - Response 1: Because I'd have to believe that the bible is in any way correct to believe in him. I believe we're responsible for everything we do. Read other details.
2: Very carefully?
3: What god gave us came back to him. He merely lent us his "son", didn't give us him. Also, how has Satan ever decieved us? Has he ever told us that if we worship him we won't go to hell? Has he ever said that he was not evil? I haven't seen a bit of deception from him, if anything he's more straight forward than God.

And apparently God doesn't love me since I'm gay, and I won't change that for anyone. Oh, and I don't and won't own a bible.

aboosait : Lesse, as for who gave me this brain and fingers, I would believe that would be my mother and father, coupled with evolution.
As for the free will, why give us a gift that we can't exercise without damnation? He knows what will happen too, and has created his plan around that. Does that mean that I even have free will, if I have to follow his plan?

As for my own ideas, I choose to keep them private on here for objective reasons, and because it tends to take a while for me to spell them out, since it doesn't follow any actual religion thus far. As for who is managing the affairs of the universe, I think there is no order thusly there is no management, but this isn't to say I'm an atheist.

I think he's got a bet going with god and the one with the most souls in the end wins. Satan's the underdog, so he's gotta try harder.

Talk about a hypothetical question.

You don't believe in Satan, but you understand he works harder for business than God. I don't know any brand of Christianity which subscribes to that belief.

Personally, I find it hard to believe that God would want to be worshipped. Why would he want all that flattery from inferior beings. If he created us just so we could worship him, he has a serious self-esteem problem.

Worship goes back to early superstitious beliefs, that if you upset the gods, they would give you a hard time. So people made sacrifices, and came to believe some sacrifices were better than others. The Bible is full of instructions for animal sacrifices. I don't know why the fundamentalists have given up on them. Maybe the war in Iraq would go better if George Bush sacrificed a few goats on the White House lawn.

There are now a couple of good studies (STEP and MANTRA II) showing prayer makes no difference at all to what happens in the real world. So if worship is going to pay off, it won't be in this life.

I'm sorry but your question makes no sense at all. You don't believe in Hell or Satan but yet you state that Satan spends all of his time on us while God does nothing.
You are correct their is no hell or Satan, that's because hell is here, we all live in it. Satan is the evil that goes on daily basis. As for God. Go out side to your local play ground. Take a look at a child's smile or a dog playing. Better yet go in the mirror, then ask your self if you are evil or a good person.
There you will find, Satan or God.
By the way I have no particular religion that I believe in. I believe in all that is good in not so perfect world.
I believe in you.

Satan will not be working in Hell; he will be destroyed in hell. He is after souls not because he cares, but because he hates God and wishes to nullify God's sacrifice on the cross to whatever extent he can. The Bible says he roams the earth seeking whom he may devour.

No, the bible doesn't say Satan tortures us in Hell. The fire and brimstone and worms do that. Satan himself will be tortured and destroyed as well. Hell was created for that purpose.

the same reason many don't worship "Him". The largest group actually worship one or the other without admitting to it or overtly acting as if they're worshipping.
Some of the most Godly and Un-Godly people never parttake in organized religion at all.
People who don't believe in anything may still be unwittingly worshipping and serving one or the other. In trying to serve neither they may well be serving both.
The whole thing is a cosmic game the proportions of which are well beyond the bounds of human imagination...

Or to put it in a lampoon-esque way... Whether you can hear it or not, the Universe is laughing behind your back.

You say: "I have my own ideas"

It is quite clear from your initial statement: "God sits back and tells us to follow him, but doesn't do a lick of work to get us to."

Who gave you the fingers to type this out? You made them yourself or you believe that the satan did it for you?

Who gave you the brain? Who gave you the free will to choose between the right path and the wrong path?

Who sent the prphets to show us the right path and distinguished it from the wrong path?

What are "your own ideas" ......

Who ACCORDING TO YOU is managing the affairs of the universe? The CREATOR or the CREATED ?

Christians also supposedly believe in somthing they call 'free will', which supposedly means Satan is not responsible for their failings, they are. Yet if you ask them where hate originates from, 7 our of 10 will answer Satan. Huh? I thought you just said you have free will, so how is it that Satan is in any way responsible for what you do or feel?

Judging by your question I'm thinking that you might be a jew.

If you don't believe in satan or hell why do you suggest others to follow satan?

Your question is more of an opinion.

2. Impatient answer: How can anyone be so ingenuous?
3. Christian answer:
GOD gave His only Son to save our souls.
Satan is a deceiver! He only wants only to steal from you, to kill you and to destroy you. He is a loser!
GOD loves you. He is THE winner.
READ YOUR BIBLE!

What do you mean God doesn't do anything? God sent his son Jesus to die on the cross for you and I, that was enough. There is something that is called test and trials. God sends you through them everyday. Satan only does what God allows him to do, nothing more. God is the ruler, and the creator of ALL Things. If you need sciptures PLEASE e-mail me. God Bless You! 1 Corinthians 14:33-(reads): For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as in all churches of the saints. (meaning in your heart)
