I do see you reasoning and the options you did present. The questions you ask in my view are the questions that must be answered by each and every individual to his own satisfaction for they are a foundation of faith.

I do have my own views and I am satisfied with them for me. However I do not insist another accept my views.

I once read here a comment by and individual that said, "Nothing can evolve if it does not exist in the first place." That made me see clearer that Nothing can exist without a source unless it is eternal with no beginning. Likewise I see that something that has no beginning may have no time. With no time, then no ending for time is a unit of measure that is needed if a change or ending is potential. If such is not a potential then time is of no value.

When I saw all this I began to see the precise definition of a God, a special and specific God thus I called Him My God. [Remember I said this is for me only - OK]

My friend in this era I see no effect without a cause. I see no cause wit6hout a source except an eternal existence who was, is, and always will be.

Now of course I may be wrong. I can accept that. It is just the way I found my contentment with your questions.

Do give it some thought and smile while doing it.

Now have a good day and keep asking questions and do not let the answers of others bother you. There is a "Rough Bunch here on Yahoo Question and Answers. I was told that by an answer and I did accept that view OK

The Big Bang Theory does not say that nothing existed before "the Bang."

It just says that all matter and energy we can now observe was once confined within a very small area and rapidly spread outwards to form the universe we see today. There are various hypotheses about how and why all matter and energy got to that point, but so far those ideas haven't really been tested.

The cause of the Big Bang is still an open question in science, but that isn't proof that "God did it."

As an Atheist, I can tell you that we don't pretend to know all the answers. Science doesn't claim to know all the answers either.

Do we know what started the universe? Nope. Do we know what caused the big bang (assuming it's true)? Nope.

Do we claim to know the answer to everything? Nope. Does Christianity? Yes.

That's the difference between the two. One claims to have all the answers and the other one wants people to go out there and find them.

Suppose you are right and the big bang was created/started by something. Why must that something not be natural? Why must it be sentient? Why must it be YOUR god?

You have four layers of proof to climb. You can start by simply demonstrating that the big bang was created.

Yes, I'm an Atheist/Agnostic, I'm not sure if I entirely disbelieve in gd, but I doubt his existence.

And I see the problems, but I refuse to accept the all encompassing god caused it answer.

Exactly what Toronto said...I don't like to believe something until it has been proven. I don't claim that I am all knowing. Just because we can't explain something doesn't make it correct to say "Oh, God must have done it then".
