The rule for cars is 10-12,000 miles per year.
This car only averaged 4,000 miles a year.
Engines usually go bad due to sludge buildup. I wouldn't pay more than $5,000.

I assume you mean 48, 000 miles and not just 48 miles. (As in it has been in storage its entire life) If so, then I would say 11,900 is too high. You should be able to find one 4 or 5 years newer for that price. Realize that lots of things on a car wear out over time, even if the car is not being driven much. In fact, if all the fluids changes and maintenance are not being done regularly, a low milage older car can actually be in worse shape mechanically than one that is being driven and regularly maintained. Would you want a car that has just been sitting in someones garage for several years without any maintenace? So just be sure you know the history of an old car and have it professionally checked out before you buy.

People are right about mentioning the age of the car. I have had some mint condition cars with low miles that had some recurring problems. Also, it is harder to get repairs done on old cars because parts usually have to be special ordered.

yes this is to much 11,900 will get you a new 2007 and if you buy it and something messes up do you think it will be easy to get the parts for a car made in 94.

If you really meant 48 miles.... then $11.9k sounds like an OK price.
All the parts should work like new since they are new. Just make sure all the fluids are changed though.

My God, everything on this car is 12 YEARS OLD!
Disregard the mileage except to note the fact that 48k is the mileage at which things start to go (brakes, tires, etc.)
How's the 12-year old top of the convertible?
Suggest you offer 5-6k.
