It's either drugs, alcohol, or nerves. Discontinue all drugs and alcohol. If the shaking doesn't stop, then consider your stress levels.
If the hand shaking continues, then you should see a nuerologist to rule out Parkinson's disease and cerebal palsy. Do you smoke cigarettes? People that smoke cigarettes don't get Parkinson's disease.

i notice ever since i cut down on drinking and drugs my hands don't shake as much even though i think I've had it my whole life. I take medication for a panic disorder as well which helps out with my shaking.

Could be lots of things. eg: too much caffeine, drug side effect, alcohol withdrawal, over-active thyroid, fatigue, disease,etc. See a doc.
