Please share with me the technique used,I would also like to know the same for an LP [record]. Can you please help ?

You can paint directly on a CD with no problem, no sealing required. Some people like to fill the hole with wood putty, but it's not required. I think records would be the same, but if necessary you can seal them first with Jo Sonja All Purpose Sealer (dries clear), Decoart Sealer (dries clear), or a coat of Krylon matte varnish. Any of those products will help give the surface some "tooth" so the paint sticks.

I hope you're not painting on the grove side of the CD?

CDs are made out of plastic. So is acrylic paint. So acrylics should adhere to the surface with no problems. You do not want to use oil based paint on a plastic based CD. Don't do it.

If you want to hand paint a CD buy the ones that don't have a paper label already on them.

There are CD stomping or labeling progrms available. They come with the stickers upon which you can import graphics and text etc. I wouldn't 'paint' on a cd and expect to play it.

first you have to sand it , and then get a good oil based primer, then paint whatever color you want. 2 coats
