The Quakers and supposed "witches" were equally persecuted. Remember, there was a great deal of anti-Quaker sentiment among the Puritans and other early settlers. Quakers were often whipped, fined and jailed. I think that if you look at statistical patterns, you'll find it wasn't the Quakers who were doing the persecution. In fact, to do so would have likely been against their pacifist sentiments.

From the above pages: "That grim diagnosis launched a Puritan inquisition that took 25 lives, filled prisons with innocent people, and frayed the soul of a Massachusetts community called Salem. "

Puritan. Not Quaker.

Editing to say that I've re-read your question, and may have misunderstood it. I thought that you were suggesting that the Quakers were actively involved in the persecutions. As for their burying the victims of executions, yes, that is quite possible.

They only buried the dead ones. Check your books it was not the Quakers who held the witch trials.

If they buried them, they would not put the bodies in hollowed ground. They would have to do something with the bodies, as you can't just have bodies rotting above ground, polluting your community. I think that they hung Witches here, burnings were mostly over in Germany and Europe.
