So I will begin by clarifying my position. I am not a member of any religious organization. Which means I am no way affiliated with the islamic faith. However, I am insulted by your question. Why? Because Islam is as much a religion of peace as ANY OTHER RELIGION. In every religion there are fanatics who pervert what the religion stands for, and that is when you get 9/11, the Crusades, Spanish Inquisition etc etc. Furthermore, the portion of muslims who are this fanatical is VERY SMALL and it is very unfair to project the deeds of a few on the general population. Attitudes like these are the same attitudes that led to the holocaust and the japanese concentration camps, both of which were extremely inhumane and bred from an unjustified fear and hatred of a certain group of people. Please, realize that the actions of a few people do not reflect the goals of the majority or the organization

I am afraid I have to agree with you. I am a Muslim and condemn burning if churches or for that matter any other violence in response to what the Holy Pope did say.
There is no sanction of such violence in the religion or even in the sayings of the Holy Prophet (pbuh). In fact the Koran explicitly forbade the Prophet to criticize any other religion and as such Muslims are not permitted to debase or pass derogatory remarks about any other religion. Also all prophets of the New and Old Testament are Prophets of Islam (even some who are deemed not be be prophets by the Bible are given the status of a prophet and accorded respect). The prophet Abraham (pbuh) ,The Prophet Jesus(pbuh) and Mary (or Mariam rua) are all revered and respected figures in Islam are in fact common to both Islam and Christainity./
I have to agree with you that burning of churches and or any other from of violence is unwarranted and wish to add that this has no sanction, what so ever , in the religion itself.
I on behalf of my Muslim brothers apologize to all for these acts of un reason .

Oh..u forgot the Mosque burning and anti-Muslims actions after 9/11? Not all Muslims agree with burning churches but their will always remain some extreme violent people in every country..and It's not prophet Muhamed who said but Allah said this in the Qur'an and you should reed the explanation of the Qur'an first and not to try to judge it by your poor understandung.

I am not answering your question, but merely pointing out more injustices currently occurring. We are not allowed to make derogatory comments about Muslims, Islam, etc. but they can make them about us (white people). We are to respect their religion and its confines by allowing them special privledges in the practice of worship while they refuse to acclimate themselves to our culture and proceed to talk **** about "American" society and values and government. Call me ethnocentric but if you don't like it, get the **** out. I don't like their shithole of a country and therefore choose not to visit & certainly choose not to live there. Even if times were peaceful I wouldn't because I simply do not align myself with their belief system. However, I do feel that they should have a right to practice their religion and it's beliefs in the US or in their homeland but they need to understand that their religion is not the only one and no one knows if it's the "right" one or not so just shut up already and let the pope dig his own hole.

exactly....all they are doing is validating what the Pope said about them.....and the sad part is they keep denying it......all one has to do is watch the news on any station and they will tell you about the violence that is breaking out because this so called peaceful and loving religion has been offended.....they apparently have been so offended that an innocent nun was shot dead in the back for being a member of the catholic church.....they are savages.... and need to be stopped

Yes Islam is a peace loving religion.!
Muslims are to deal with the rest of the world with justice and harmony.
Unfortunately, not everyone follows their religion, but it does not mean that the religion is to blame.

However, Pope has no right to say our prophet/Islam is 'evil."
Does his Christian beliefs teach him to be like that?

You are adding fuel to the fire! Just shut up. Any sentence which starts with "What is wrong with you ......." reveals a mind that seperates people into camps, and that is divisive. Bridges are built by inclusion not exclusion. Exclusion perpetuates animosity.
