What they don't get about me is that even if they are right I would still choose hell. I want nothing to do with their jealous death god, their morbid blood cult and all the atrocities that have been committed by them in the name of their god and his 'word'. Their religion goes against mymorals and principles of personal responsibility, compassion, empathy, service and goodness.

I think they think that we're crazy and uninformed. I consider myself to be a faitheist ( I made that up, spread it around) I take on faith that there is no god/heaven/hell/etc. I think Christianity/et all religions are nice easy answers. You believe the good go to heaven, the bad get their just desserts. It must make living life easy as hell, mind the pun, believing that you'll see you're loved ones again and any mistakes you made were already paid for by Jesus. I believe that we rot in the ground, how...depressing....but at least it's logical.

Quite frankly, I believe they have it all backwards. Everyone talks about how hell is eternal torment and heaven is great and all that... But... Who the hell wants to go to heaven? Think about it... really... what fun is a place where everyone is so prim and proper that they NEVER DID ANYTHING WRONG in their life? Furthermore, maybe it's just me, but I don't fancy sitting on a white cloud balancing a little ring above my head playing a harp for eternity... Hell sounds like a much better time to me...

How could you be afraid of something you don't believe in? I'm a Christian. I don't judge others. I don't threaten others with hell. I know what I believe and I accept others for what they believe. I can understand why you wouldn't be afraid of hell if you truly do not believe in the Lord.

I don't think they can know anything about me or anyone else without asking. And if atheists don't believe in God, heaven or hell, then they aren't going to be afraid of hell any more than they are afraid of ghosts, goblins or other imaginary manifestations of superstition.

Haha I know you people aren't and I'm Catholic...I'm not afraid when fundis tell me that I'm going to hell. It's also fun to tell them "Yes! I can hardly WAIT to meet the one great creator and Lord Satan!"

No...I think people have too much of a tendency to put their own thoughts/fears/beliefs/views in other people. They see it their way and some I guess can't grasp that others don't believe in it.

I just don't think they can comprehend bravery on our part. They'd rather "not risk it" I think, but won't come out and say it, whereas most athiests and non-christians realise it's just scare tactics.

They can't imagine the concept of freedom. They've been oppressed by the fear of hell for centuries.
