Of course it would. The absence of bodies in the forest does not negate that fact.

Yes, it would, sound waves carry as a result of a vibration. If you claim that a tree did fall, when it did, it hit the ground, the rustling of leaves and the thud of the trunk crushing the smaller plants under its weight would no doubtfully make a sounds or noise.

The presence of a physical interaction occurring without your presence to observe it is irregardless. The same as the fact that the tree feel instead of flinging into outer-space. Percussion resulting in sound waves is as persistent as gravity when you are not there.

Your a nobody, so if you happened to be in the forest at the time a tree fell you could find out and tell the rest of us.

If you were in the forest and you imagined the sound that a tree makes could you be hit by the falling tree?

It's a hypothetical and philosophical question. There's not an *answer* to it. Some people say that actions like a tree falling always produce sound. Some think that sound is only present if there's a receiver (like an ear) to get it. Your call.

I don't think people are getting the point to this question..if NO ONE was there to hear it (meaning NO ONE,not people, animals, or bugs) then NO it would not make a sound. Sound is only a sound if heard by something or someone.

as long as there is an ear available to receive the sound wave, then yes. that could be from an animal or anything else. a sound isnt truly made until the sound wave reaches its "ear" if you will.

for example, a stereo sends a signal to the speaker, but if the speaker is not hooked up, it will not make a sound.

sound is a word. this question is a trick question for that reason...we get in to the loser politics of "defining sound and what is sound and are the vibrations really sound or is sound what happens when it gets to our ears....blah, blah, blah) (insert sarcastic voice in that) my family has been debating this since i was five (what can i say my parents wanted us to stop fighting) and this is what i have to say on the issue...a sound is the ripple of displaced air in the environment. it has force it abides by the law of nature...their are plenty of noises that people can't hear but we aren't discussing weither they are sound or not. so therefore sound is sound....if something has the basic scientific properties of sound then it is sound....so therefore yes that damn tree makes a sound we just can't hear it. case closed.

The forest is never empty, there is always bugs animals and parisites, there is always living things, and other plants can hear or feel vibrations so yes there is always sound.
