i have a s- video cable and it works, i tried it on my video camera...but i can seem to get the cable to work with my laptop...is there something that i have to turn on in order for the video to show or is the output no good....

You have to go into your video settings and activate the TV output as a second monitor in the "clone" mode. Video will sometimes only show on the primary monitor, so you may have to make the TV the primary monitor as well.

you nned a special video card like a tv tunner video card and then you should try connecting your s-video cable up and it should work after that if it dosent call and expert for more advice

You need to go into your video settings and tell it to either clone or to extend the image to another screen.

does your laptop have atv tuner on it? does it have the microswipe windows xp media center edition or vista?
