Please do a little course in Logistics.I think you do not have a clue how many police and army you need to arrest and deport more than 10 million people.and that too only in peace time. What about Civil war these people will bring.?

The answer is not to round up all the illegals and send them home. There are 12 million or so illegals, and the enture US military is less than half that.

The answer is to seek out companies that HIRE illegals. Impose a $25,000 fine on each such illegal hire. Publicize the heck out of the program. You would see US employers firing them left and right. WIth no source of income, they would round themselves up and go home.

Of course, that would only leave the US with a large underemployment problem.

My solution to the illegal problem is to impose massive penalties on those who hire illegals, but create a cross-border temp agency that matches guest workers with jobs, does background checks, issues temporary visas on the spot. Any county with high unemployment will have to stop hiring new guest workers or send them back and hire citizens.

Citizenship? What citizenship? They're not here to become citizens, they're here to make money and take it home. If they want to become citizens, there is an already-established process that people from any country must go through to achieve that.

Of course it is! There are many who want us to believe it is an impossibility, but a national effort could be mounted and every single illegal routed out and deported.

It is not possible without rounding up literally everyone and asking for proof of citizenship/immigration status. There are simply not enough police officers to search among 300 million people for a few million illegals.

Yes, but ask this also...why did the government stand by and allow this massive influx? Border Patrol, DEA, FBI and now Homeland Security have been charged with protecting the nation....so what have they been doing?

It is not necessary to deport. Enforce the laws against employing illegals and they will leave on their own.

Possible? Yes.

Do-able? Most probably not. Imagine the amount of money and manpower required to enforce the law?

Most of the people I know with overstayed visas are Canadians, Armenians and Asians.

Depending on the immigration financial budget. Mostly, illigals are being jailed, then set free. They will just transfer to another state to earned money.
