All of this flag waving controversy kind of cracks me up. I see the Puerto Ricans flying their PR flags on their cars and rearview mirrors and I instantly think, well, if PR is so great why don't you go back? When I lived in Oklahoma I didn't drive around with an Ohio flag on my antenna or rearview mirror. And I didn't see anyone else doing that either. What all of this boils down to is the way one's loyalty is perceived by others. Now that PR guy might be as red, white and blue as any other loyal American, but the perception is that he still wants to hang onto PR.
The Mexicans are in a tough spot, and we should just stop throwing stones at them and give them whatever assistance we can. What in the hell are they hurting by wanting a better life for themselves and their kids? What would you do if you couldn't find a job, or provide necessaties including health care for your family? And you knew opportunities existed just on the other side of a shallow river? You would do exactly what the Mexicans are doing. Why is it we never hear anyone complaining when a Canadian comes across the border? We frequently see Ontario license plates here in Ohio. We don't want the Canadians to go home. So why do we pick on the Mexicans? Is it because we were too lazy to learn Spanish in high school?
As far as their protesting and waving their flags? Hey, haven't you ever heard of free speech? Are you grousing because you didn't like the things they said in their protests, or are you pissed just because they have the nerve to stick up for themselves and exercize their freespeech rights at all?
Exactly for whom do you want the United States of America to be free? Who gets to exercize their rights and freedoms and who does not? I'm not going to boycott their businesses. Or try to harm them in any way. I support the true nature of this country which is life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.

If they have a problem here... go back to Mexico. This is the U.S and the American flag is what one should be waving. When illegals were protesting in Tucson they had the U.S flag upsidedown. That just sickens me. If they want the so called better life they claim they are hear for then they should show some respect for this great country that has that for them to be taking advantage of. Otherwise get the hell out of here!! I live in AZ and I am fed up with their disrespect. And, fed up with the bleeding hearts that support them. You all can go to Mexico.

Nope. boycotting their businesses are the American way to show that you disagree with their way of preforming business. That is the beauty of the American business market. It is not racist for you to protest people being here illegally and the businesses that aid them being here and a drag on the taxes that you pay as a hard working American tax payer!

This display is less about rights as Americans and more about rights as humans, arguing no one here is a criminal and no one here wants to be treated as such. It's a request for legal work. Nobody is 100% American. It is a statement that America should be for everyone...they are not waving their flags in an attempt to go back to their native lands, they are waving their flags to be treated with entitling rights that allow them to fulfill their own American dream...naturally. I know I will receive a low rating for my answer, but I just wish more people took the time to truly educate themselves about our own American history...we're all immigrants. Search your family tree, you probably don't have to go back more than six generations. That's what makes America so great...that there is a nation built of people of no one predominant race or ethnicity yet all together form one UNITED nation.

If they are truly illegal immigrants then the government should deport them back to their homeland. The govt should not wait for it's legitimate citizens to get entangled with those illegals who left their country only to mess around in their adopted country!

I have a problem with the waving of any other country's flag in America. If someone wants to move to this country to start a better life for themselves, good for them, but show respect for the country YOU CHOSE to be a part of! Don't still show alliance to your native country if you chose to leave it to come here. That's my only problem.

I believe they should all be rounded-up by force, all their unlawfully acquired property confiscated and then eject them from the country. Either we have Law of we don't. The Governent has a duty to enforce the Law, and not just when it benefits the Government!

If they want to fly the flag of the country they came from, they should live in that country.
If they want to live in the US, then should fly the US flag.
It just shows how ignorant they are anyway. They fly the flag of the country that oppresses them to show their loyalty to those that oppress them.

I feel that if the illegal immigrants are so proud of their heritage, lets give them a one-way ticket back to Mexico.
