Don't do it here. I might really enjoy reading it in another context but here short answers/questions rule.

Also, to mirror some others here. Try the spell check it's pretty good. peace and blessings to you.

There is a spell checker on the right hand corner of the "answer" box. A testimony is more forceful if spelled correctly at least! Sometimes less is more. Something is more persuasive if it is from the heart (that does not require a long tirade). In all probability your audience have lived longer than you. You do not need to relate non relevant life experiences - only the spiritual ones. This is what religion is about - sprituality.

The best testimonies of the divinity of Jesus Christ and His Gospel are spoken from the heart and inspired by the Holy Ghost. If you have doubts about your testimony, go to the Father in Heaven in earnest and sincere prayer, asking for the words that should burn within.

Fast and pray for this answer and any others that concern you. When the answer comes, you will know what to write.

My personal advice. I would write everything out. Start from there. And then start rewriting and rewriting until it is exactly how you want it. Everyone's testimony is different. My brothers is fairly short, but mine is quite lengthy. But, I went through alot more in my life that brought me to salvation than what my brother did. There is no accepted length of a person's story. Just tell it like it is.

I had a tough time writing down my first testimony too. The only thing that helped me was to remember the three parts of a testimony- your life before Christ, how you came to be saved, and how your life was changed after you received Christ. Try writing down facts about the day you got saved, like the time, setting, people, emotions, etc. and then move on to comparing your life before and after you received Christ, then work on making it flow together like a story, something that says "This is me, and my life with Christ, and I'm not afraid to share it!!!"

Pray and ask God to guide you through it.
If the desire to write the testimony came from Him, then also let Him be the guide.

This is how the bible was written. Perhaps yours will be a chapter of the Modern Day Testament, which will immediately follow the New Testament! *smile*

I pray right now: Lord prepare his/her heart. Lord, have your way, and thank you for blessing my sister/brother with YOUR thoughts, by YOUR instruction. In Jesus' precious name I pray. Amen.

God bless you!

It is best to use your own words.
What got you interested.
How you overcame doubt.
What convinced you.
Why you like being a Christian.
Of course you can expand on this outline.
Keep it under 10 minutes.
Try it out on siblings or friends or parents.
Say a prayer before starting.
God Bless.

Testimonies are so personal, no one will be like another.

Mine is long and involved because it took me so long to go from a believer to a follower of God.

Just go with your heart, God tells us that he will give us the words, just put your faith in him and start writing, or talking.

Just start at the beginning and write from the heart.
Honesty explains itself.

1st of all, u need to pray & ask god for his divine direction.
god will definitely give u direction, wisdom & knowledge on the words he wants u to write.
pray for god's perfect will re: your testimony.
let it be god, let god guide you. let god give you the words to write down.
he'll lead u on where to begin & where to end.
allow god's holy spirit to show u what he wants from you.
it may just be 1 area of your life, or all?
only god knows.
pray that god put peace in your heart & allow his perfect will to be done.

seek & ye shall find, knock & the door shall open.

god will give u wisdom, knowledge & understanding if u allow him.

good luck
