This is a question for a pharmacy school application. I am kind of confused about how to strat and what to write in the response.

PERSONAL PERSPECTIVE
What insight into the human condition will you bring to your studies at our institute?

For this question you should summarize what you believe you have learned about the nature of humanity and how that will impact your tenure as a student at UCSF and your future as a pharmacist.

Please give some advises, thank you guys so much!

Thank DeAnna for her OPINION, however, I was expecting some constructive ideas about the Question itself.

BTW, I am asking this question just to help a friend out, I am not going to pharmacy school myself.

Thank you guys for all the critics, but I am just trying to help my friend develop some thoughts. I am not trying to find an ANSWER here but a few pointers since this question looks sort of vague to me. Thank you.

wow, we got... oh sorry... "have" some grammar nazis in the building!!! seriously ladies, if you don't want to answer the question, don't post anything. my new goal tonight is to get to 250 so i can give them both a thumbs down. it's called yahoo answers, not yahoo critiques, psychos.
i read this question before anyone answered it and my poor little brain started to hurt while thinking of an answer so when i saw that there were two "answers", i came back to this question, but alas, still no answers, so i will give it another whirl...
oh wait, i have one more rant, this essay prompt seriously sucks and should never be on any college admission packet, especially to a pharmacy school (just in case someone from an admissions committee is reading this). give my regards to your friend. ok back to my answer...
unfortunately the easiest and most common aspects of the human condition and the nature of humanity are negative. the seven deadly sins come to mind (google them). it is the belief of many that we are inherently not so good and that much effort must be given by an individual to be "good". i will not go into how many things are wrong in america for every one thing that is right because that's not what this cool cat is asking. my point is that the admissions committee is not looking for what is wrong in america, thus write about the opposite... enter from stage right... the seven heavenly virtues (yep, google them too). now do not use the exact terms "seven deadly sins" or "seven heavenly virtues" in the essay, do not even allude to them. that would be cliche, and thus not good. simply weave one of them (yes, only one) into a nicely written five paragraph essay about some factual event that happened in your friend's life. something positive and uplifting, but make it unique. stay away from shakespearesque parallels (ladies above, is that a word?) or anything that could have been an episode of full house. a dead grandmother leading to learning to cope with death would be touching, minus the fact that this is not going to help you that much in pharmacy school or as a pharmacist (even though the life of a pharmacy student is often times as tragic as poor granny's death). so what to write about??? of the seven, my picks are charity, fortitude, and justice (you could theoretically use any of them, especially if you are a good writer). bring in something from your past, explain why it was important to you or what significance it had on you, and make sure you conclude with how this experience is going to make you a better candidate for pharmacy school and or a better pharmacist (without actually directly saying that). ok, that's all i "got". good luck!

Now is a good time to start doing your own work. If they knew you got your answer from here, do you really think they would be interested in having you as a student?

With grammar like yours I don't think you'll get into pharmacy school.

It's a personal question, write honestly about your experiences, and use spell check if want half a chance.
