You are very lucky, my son in the same situation got sent to the pen. Normally the courts have set it up to where you can't contact her and she isn't supposed to contact you. I would take the emails to your local sheriff before you get in trouble again because she is nuts. It should have read that if she contacts you she will be in contempt of court. Explain to them what has happened and that you want her to stay away from you so you can go on with your life before she causes you more trouble. Good Luck

In order to get a restraining order put against her you have to prove that she has done some kind of violence to you or that there is a credible threat that she will. As for emails, block her from your address....same with your phone. If she does start threatening you or your girlfriend, call the police immediately and report it. You will want to be able to show a pattern of behavior if anything serious does happen. You should also talk to an attorney about the options in your state; some places have stricter rules about stalking, esp. across state lines. You might also talk to her parents if they will let you, but talk to an attorney first. Whatever you do, DO NOT meet with this girl privately or with your girlfriend. This will land you in a world of hurt.

You could, eventually, get a restraining order against her. You need to ask her to stop contacting you, record the dates, make copies of the letters you send, and keep copies of the messages she sends you (or document her phone calls). In a few months, you should have enough information to go to a lawyer, who will first write her a registered letter warning her to leave you alone. If she ignores that, then you can get a restraining order. If she contacts you after that, you can have her arrested. But she'll probably never do any jail time. But just being arrested might scare the crap out of her enough that she'll move on.

And, by the way, I have no respect for you. But like any lawyer, that doesn't stop me from offering advice.

First of all, get a new e-mail address under a different name and have your gf do the same. Second get a p.o. box for your bills and mail, but don't put in c change of address form, change them with each person yourself. If she mails you. just write Address unknown on it. Let someone else write it though so that she doesn't reconize our hand writing.

people like her need shot if you ask me! She seems like a real ho and I'd do whatever needs done to avoid her. If you don't, she'll just yell rape and get you locked up for a long time.

Block her from your Emails and return any letters unopened. Mark it "refused" and throw in a mailbox. You can file a complaint against her for harassment and stalking. Talk to the police.

Filter your e-mail account, get restraining order, Spam her, and at last resort ...call her parents or just reroute the e-mails to her parents. Copy and mail them a few too.

I'm not sure what the laws are about that, but I am sure that it is possible if you have proof or feel endangered. Good luck and congrats on the engagement.

Also, document each time you hear from her so that you'll have something to show the police...not just a "she calls me a lot."
