Neither are related to OCD. OCD may have similar symptoms to paranoid schizophrenia but they are not related and are not seen together more than any other two mental illnesses. OCD and bipolar don't really have any similar symptoms all though someone may act in a bizzare way that may seem obsessive compulsive when they are going through a manic episode.

This is not to say someone cannot have both or even all three of these disorders. Lots of people are diagnosed with two unrelated mental illnesses. Also lots of mental illnesses have overlapping symptoms. This is why it is so important that diagnosis is done accurately.

My grandma and mom have both been diagnosed with mild bi polar and my aunt is as Schizophrenic as they come. Bi Polar is more paranoia of other people than anything else. They think someones out to get them in some form or another, or talking about them behind their back, etc... It's obessive, yes, but not in the way of keeping the windows shut or doors locked - unless you are paranoid about certain someone or people to break in or whatever, that's leaning towards bi polar. My Schizophrenic aunt hears voices and is just generally a little "out there" when you try talking to her. In my opinion Obsessive Compulsive Disorder is more healthy as well. I'm not a Psychiatric professional at all, this is just from personal experience.

It's a completely different disorder. Research has found that OCD is caused by a loop of neutral activity in the Basil Ganglia (responsible for habit formation) area of the brain that never shuts off.

Actually, through my knowledge, it does not relate none. Usually with mental health conditions there are concurring conditions. The most common is Depression. But there are cases that relate to Autism.

Sounds more like features of scizophrenia rather than OCD. Go to webmd.com and read about all these diagnosis.

If this is a loved one or friend or even you, time to see a mental health professional for counseling and possible medication regime.

I have heard that OCD is one of the most common anxiety disorders associated with bipolar disorder. The reason I know this is that I have done thorough research on it because I have been diagnosed with bipolar disorder type I, severe and OCD. They are comorbid.

I think I am OCD. Some people think it is just being a neat freak. I'm also mildly Bi Polar. I am able to control both better now in my forties than I did in my twenties. Schizo is different than Bi Polar.
