We are called to be chaste in our state in life. Homosexual desires are temptations. There are legions of demonic spirits that each have different functions for vice. Heterosexual fornication is one and homosexual fornication is another. The more we withstand the temptation the stronger and easier it is to avoid the sin. However, if after much trying we are not able to stop the temptation then it means our soul is not well and we should quickly seek the assistance of a good priest. We cannot conquer temptation on our own once we have commited the sin. So we must seek confession with a priest and frequent Holy Communion. It's the only way....and sometimes we need to be delivered of a particular demonic obsession that is bothering us.....using Holy Oil and Holy Water. Read Fr. Amorth's books, AN EXORCIST TELLS HIS STORY and AN EXORCIST, MORE STORIES.

...Good question. It must looked at as sin - and sin can be forgiven.
...Read these verses from 1 Corinthians 6:
9 Do you not know that the unrighteous and the wrongdoers will not inherit or have any share in the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived (misled): neither the impure and immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor those who participate in homosexuality,
10 Nor cheats (swindlers and thieves), nor greedy graspers, nor drunkards, nor foulmouthed revilers and slanderers, nor extortioners and robbers will inherit or have any share in the kingdom of God.
11 And such some of you were [once]. But you were washed clean (purified by a complete atonement for sin and made free from the guilt of sin), and you were consecrated (set apart, hallowed), and you were justified [pronounced righteous, by trusting] in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and in the [Holy] Spirit of our God.
...There is hope and change available in Jesus Christ.
...And in Ephesians 4:22-24, we are told to:
1. Put off the old man
2. Renew the mind
3. And put on the new man (righteous behavior).
...Jesus doesn't offer a self-help plan, but new life in Him. In 2 Corinthians 5:17 we read, "Therefore, if any man is in Christ, he is a new creature; the old things passed away, behold, all things are become new." He will change you from the inside out.
...May you trust in Christ today, if you have not already trusted Him.

I guess thats not the only possibility. It is possible that a homosexual person is homosexual because of a choice they make to do something rather than genes. Behavious can be controlled by choice and not just genes.
I guess an interesting question to ask is 'Are pedophiles born with a gene that causes them to do this' I would say no but there are people out there who believe this.
Just recently a dutch political party was formed by pedophiles who are proud of who they are and want the age of consentual sex lowered and want sex with animals made legal. I find this shocking but it shows how behaviour can be rationalised in ones own mind.

that inner most desire can and will change if you be openly honest with God about your desires. bring it into prayer , talk to God about it. He's know what your going through, so you might as well talk to him about it. He really really loves you so much, and he does want to help you overcome this. He's not going to get angry for asking for help he would believe me be more than happy to set your free from this sin. Don't fear God in the sense that you can't go to him with such personal things. and this will help your growth in the Lord.
True God does not give those genes, it is from what you call " back to the womb", majority of the times. it could be influenced as a really young child and you don't remember, or just your own curiosity that had got the better of you and then those desires just attatched itself to you. hope its of help.

Sin entered into the world with Adam and Eve and all of us inherited it from them. Each of us has sinful desires of one sort or another. Draw close to God and learn of the things that he has chosen for your life and you can then decide to get a grip on your selfish desires and act according to his will instead of your own. Remember, the pedifile, the mass murderer, the fornicator, the liar all have sinful desires as well. If everyone just acted on what they wanted because they wanted it, we would be in worse shape than we are now and right now, we have a mess!

They get it from the media.
I was just wondering the other day.....if God DOES make people homo, how come anglo countries are the only countries that get it? Is there a big homo population in China, Japan or Russia? Do they have gay pride parades? Do they have their media telling them that they're born that way, etc?
Our society is being saturated with sex. People get so used to "normal" hetero sex that they need more perversion to get off. I've seen it more than a few times.
You can change your innermost desires by changing what you desire.....that's what I've done. That's what alcoholics do....and people that desire too much food. You replace it with something "healthier".

We all have innermost desires of the flesh. We are told to deny these desires that do against God.
We cannot do this if we continue to live without God in our lives.
Homosexuality is no different than many other sins of the flesh.
Alcoholics(drunkards) need to stay away from bars and places where they are tempted to drink.
Adulterers need to stay away from being alone with the opposite sex.
Homosexuals need to stay away from people and situations that would tempt them to act out on their desires of the flesh.
God never said temptation to do wrong would go away, he told us to lean on him and him alone and to flee temptation to sin.
Even after we accept God and Jesus Christ as our personal savior, we will still be tempted by evil. Sometimes more so than before we believed. Trust God and lean on him and flee temptation, it will not be easy, but the bible states that it is worth it, and I believe the bible above my own thoughts and desires.

Paul wrote in Romans chapter 7 that even though his mind has a desire to do what is holy, the members of his body desire to fall into sin. He goes on to say,"what a wretched man I am? Who then can save me? Thanks be to Jesus Christ" If you want to be right with God, then admit your sins, ask forgiveness, and accept Jesus as your savior. Satan will continue to attack you with desires, but if you seek to fulfill Gods will and resist temptation, it will get easier. Resist the devil, and he WILL flee.
