Does anyone know a good free photo editor for download? I want something that I can take a photo of someone and add things in the background or change colors of sections of the photo. I'd like to be able to add sparkles, clouds, fur ect. Anyone know of anything free for trial or free to download?

Like the other answerers I also think Picasa is excellent. , but not for photo editing. Picasa gives you the ability to do some photo manipulation, but it's strength lies in its ability to organize your photos. If you're looking for a very good "photo editor" for free, then you need to try "The GIMP". It's an open-source photo editor that is 100% free. It has almost all the features of Adobe Photoshop, but none of the cost. I still believe Photoshop to be much better, but GIMP is almost as good and will save you some money. If you want a tutorial on how to do stuff with GIMP, just go into google and try "gimp sparkles" or whatever. Plenty of free GIMP lessons on the net. Most free Photoshop tutorials can apply to GIMP as well.
