some individuals think it is a game and some don't. Those who do don't think highly of themselves or others and believe people can be replaced, thus other players.

The phrase above is a maxim having different interpretations..
For me, Love is a game because when someone took the risk of it, that someone can either win or lose. Win in the sense that he might succeed in courtship and make the other person fall and lose if otherwise. But whichever happens, win or lose, no one is to be blame because in a game everything is fair, just like in love. There are so many playes because everyone loves the feeling of it.

way to many players, I hope they are a dieing breed, because they (being widely publicized and therefore are the basis for stereotypes) give us decent guys a bad name.
Love is not a game, but it can be fun just as long as there is no pain in the relationship

Player is a term you Americans decided to call your man-whor*s. It is like a slang you use. Love never was and never is a game.

Why do people play? I don't think I'll ever understand that. Perhaps they think if they play a role they are less vulnerable. It's so hard to trust people, especially if you've been burnt in the past.

If there are more than 2 players, it isnt LOVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If you are in love with some(1), then it means exactly how it spells. some (1), not 2 or 3 or 4!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It is a game, dear.
And you still have to win it even when you are happily married. Otherwise things would just go downhill from there. It's what makes it exciting, anyway.

It IS a game as long as both partners are having fun at it.
It stops being a game when feelings get hurt.
It's that simple.
