Because he loves me more than anyone else ever will.

I have never known or heard of anyone whose sole purpose in being born was to die for my salvation. There are great heroes in every situation and I am not belittling them at all, they have my admiration. But, they sole purpose in being alive and dying was for me and all of mankind. The kicker is that when He was dying, He forgave them all. The example of a hero is someone that inspires others to emulate them. I wonder if Mary or the disciples sued the san-Hedron or the Roman government for damages in a wrongful death action? Sometimes we are all called upon to act in anothers behalf and sometimes it may require us to be harmed or die. I just hope that when or if my time comes that I will be more like Jesus and do so willingly and forgivingly.

Because He was made lower than angels in order to taste death for every man. I mean wow, if you were a being higher than an angel, would you lower yourself to taste something as horrid as death for anyone? I can honestly say that I don't have that much love for anyone other than those whom I love intimately; namely my two girls, my husband, etc. But to do it for someone who has never seen your face, would you?

But I guess that's sort of the point of the love of Jesus. He loves us that much. Like a big brother that comes to your rescue. And that's why He's my hero :)

Jesus is my hero becuase he lived a life without sinning. I wish so bad that I could do that. I know that in whatever I do, that I cannot be as good as Him. Jesus is not only my hero, but he is my savior, friend, and my life. Is he your hero? Give him a chance. He might just prove to you his infinite love.

He isn't my hero. I don't need jesus or the bible to make my life complete. I prefer a life without lies of god, and all those silly little myths contained in the bible. Why am I single? "Oh it's gods will" Why am I short? "Oh it's jesus' will." See what I mean? I don't need that. All that religion mumbo jumbo is for the weak who can't accept their fate and like to discriminate against others. I don't need that in my life.

not just a "hero"

Jesus is my Saviour, and I try to follow Him as Lord.
He is our coming King of Kings.

He is my hero because He's everywhere and He also gives what do I really want in life even though I'm not asking for it and especially he gives me comfort...

Because looking up his dress is the height of the human experience. Damn, he's hot.

Jesus, I'm still watching! (wink, wink)

He's my hero because he knew how to love a good woman and have sexual intercourse with her every day.

And he also proclaimed himself a god to the ignorant, which is definitely cool is it not?
