At the last minute before my execution I ask god to forgive me, will I go to heaven? (I'm not saying that I even believe in heaven, but am just curious to see what the answer would be) And if I do ask god to forgive me, and I really mean it, why is it even fair that I should still be allowed to go to heaven at all?

you go to heaven if u mean it and as long as you are catholic, I think they need one of those perverted priests to say it is okay... and the reason you should beallowed to go to heaven is becasue you are a sweet girl and if you killed someone (and I would never believe it) they earned it

When Jesus was on the cross He forgave the sins of a man(a criminal) that was about to die...(read luke 23:32-43). You might not think it is fair that you go to heaven, but Jesus is the High Judge of us all, and He forgives our sins no matter how big or small. He Loves you! Salvation is a gift from God. Read the scripture, Roman 6:23. I hope this helps you.

From what I remember in private school. If you are serious and really want to forgiven and accept God's mercy, yes you enter heaven. Why should you? I don't know. It's another topic I don't understand in Christianity. It's the same thing as my priest told me one day during church. If a child commits a crime, he is automatically given God's forgiveness for a child is innocent. So, if I were to give my child an assault rifle and told him to kill everyone he sees in the street for me. Than, if he's killed, he's still going to heaven, regardless of what he did.

In all, if you really are sorry for your sins and willing to accept God's forgiveness, yes you enter heaven. Ask a religious buff on why you do.

If you are baptized and believe, then yes, I believe that you go to heaven. There is only one unforgivable sin, and that is blaspheming the Holy Spirit. And even that is open to interpretation.
It is fair because God sent his Son, Jesus, to die for all sin. There is a parable about a vineyard owner who gets workers at various time of the day, yet pays them all the same amount, even though some worked all day, while others worked a few hours. Read Matthew 20:1-16.

because all your sins are forgiven when you ask for salvation. it isn't fair, but God grants us the choice even if we deserve it or not.

to God, sin is the same no matter how bad or weak it is and we could never go to heaven by being good alone... only through forgivness.

ALL have sinned and come short of the glory of God.
That's me and you and all.
But Christ died that we can ask to be forgiven.
The forgiveness is a free gift from God. We must ask God for the free gift of forgiveness and receive Him and reap eternal life in Heaven.
Whoever calls upon the Name of the Lord WILL be saved.

Only God knows your heart. There are probably many incarcerated criminals who use God as a way to get privileges, but then there are those imates who truly do realize the error of their ways, and they accept Christ as their personal Savior. If you truly had a change of heart, if you truly wanted His forgiveness, then whether it was the last minute or not you would be accepted as a child of God.

God judges us according to what's in our hearts. So, if you truely feel bad about what you did, you'll be forgiven. Think of it like this..If your child stole a cookie after you 'strictly' told them not to..And they came crying to you 3 weeks later, asking for forgiveness..Would you not forgive them and love them just as much as before? It's the same with God. ^_^

Nope. You forgot a key ingredient. You have to trust in the saving work of Jesus, AND turn from your sin. As to fairness, it isn't fair. ALL men deserve death and eternal punishment. It is only by God's grace that anyone is saved. But He made the rules, and He gets to choose who He pleases.

If you truely repent of your sins, and put your faith in Christ, then yes you will go to heaven.

Is it fair? yes. No one deserves to go to heaven, everyone deserves hell because we have all broken God's Law. Heaven isn't filled with good people, just bad people that have been forgiven.

no u wouldn't and the reason is , the only reason u are asking for forgiveness is so u don't go to hell and that would mean u really didn't mean it because u wouldn't be able to say that if it weren't for u getting executed that u would ask for forgiveness that same day. u have to live by his word and worship him because u love him not because u fear to go to hell
