"And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and -hell- delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their worlks."

How many "oops" did I just hear?

So tell me, christians, why you refuse to minister to the souls in hell when they are yet to be called for judgment? Tell me how you believe they are all condemned when they have yet to be judged?

Tell me why you allow moral cowardice to prevent you from showing the souls in hell the christian love and compassion you are called upon to show by your god?

Tell me why you won't pick up your cross and follow Jesus into Hell to preach to the damned (I Peter 3:19, Matthew 10:38).

Tell me why you've ridiculed a poor, stupid -nonchristian- ant who knew more about this than any christian who has yet answered?

So what? Jesus preached to them so as to save them. There have been a lot more additions since 1 Peter 3:19. Why aren't christians anxious to save these lost souls?

What about the "great divide". 1 Peter3:19 says that Jesus "preached to the damned" in His glorified state. We can't enter hell and do what Jesus did he was divine.

The Matthew citation you gave just says to "take up your cross every day and follow me. We don't follow Jesus to the actual cross because we cannot accomplish what He did. We cannot bear the sins of the world. And besides His sacrifice was sufficient once for all.

How dare you intimate that His sacrifice on the cross was insufficient!

“The sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works.” (Revelation 20:13, KJ) Here is further proof that people do not suffer forever in hell. If hell gives up those dead in it, how can anyone be there for all eternity? In fact, the Bible hell is the common grave of mankind, where the dead remain unconscious awaiting a resurrection. On Judgment Day, hell is to be completely emptied of its dead. Ecclesiastes 9:10.

Who will be resurrected from the dead on Judgment Day? The apostle Paul said: “There shall be a resurrection of the dead, both of the just and unjust.” (Acts 24:15, KJ) Hence, faithful servants of God, “the just,” will be resurrected. But so will countless others, “the unjust.” Evidently, the resurrection will embrace all those who have died and are still in the grave, with the exception of any whose sins were so serious that God has already judged them totally unworthy of life. Matthew 12:31.

‘The sea, death, and Hades’ each plays a part, but note that these terms are not mutually exclusive. Jonah, when in the belly of a fish and therefore in the midst of the sea, spoke of himself as being in Sheol, or Hades, "mankinds common grave" (Jonah 2:2) If a person is held in the grip of Adamic death, then likely he is also in Hades. These prophetic words give strong assurance that no one will be overlooked.

What John is speaking of here is, "people that have died, they have been in their grave, sleeping, as Jesus described death, waiting for the time of the resurrection, which is happening here in Rev. 20:13."

Hell, is not "hell-fire, everlasting punishment" take the King James Bible, find Bible verses that uses the word "hell" many times you will find a small # or letter attached to the word "hell" that will take you to the "marginal reference" usually in center of your Bible, there you will find the true meaning of the word "hell", the King James Bible simply tells you that "hell" means "or the grave."

No human being can help these people, they are dead, the only way a dead people can be helped or regain life again, is through the resurrection, that Jesus will perform sometime in the future.

Don`t stop at Revelation 13 , read 14 & 15 also ; And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire . This is the second death...And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire..............Unbelievers want to treat the Bible and its` requirements like a game , however GOD`s rules are not subject to change. When the game of life is over and you did not play by the rules , YOU LOSE , no replay , no challenge , no overtime , no next game , no next season , you`re in hell to stay !! There will be no liberal earthly judge to throw your case out because no one read you your rights , your trial was here on earth . You heard the gospel , and chose to ignore it and make fun of it ,and the ones` who did believe the gospel , you`ve lost your free "get out of hell card " .. No second chance after death.........You are trying to make the afterlife look like your earthly life . Trust me there is no 3 strikes and you`re out plan available . When you get sentenced to life ( after death ) thats` just what it means , LIFE , no parole , forever & ever , and it`s either in heaven or hell , your choice ???............May God touch your heart , for your sake !! Remember ; Christians are carrying the cross for Jesus here and now for you when it matters !!! We as Christians don`t think we`re better than anyone else , we just believe God !!

the word for hell used in Revelation 20:13 is hadēs; properly unseen, that is, “Hades” or the place (state) of departed souls: -
grave, hell. There is no hell when you die, except death. Not the fiery hell which has been taught. This is a common misconception passed down from greek mythology, which was taught by the roman church and sadly most protestants still believe in it. Read Ecc 9:5.

If you died today, you would rest in peace awaiting the Lord to raise you from the dead. Hopefully he raises us up in the first ressurection unto eternal life, and not the second ressurection unto eternal contempt

The Lord does not make mistakes. On the judgement day you WILL be judged. This will be to amke sure all who belong in Heaven are there. There WILL NOT BE ANYONE that was a mistake. If you belong in hell you will go there.
I say to you REPENT , REPENT now while you still can. You may die tomarow . For no one knows when you are going to die. You may think you are young and have lots of time. I tell you you do not. REPENT

"And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and -hell- delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their worlks."

That is the judgement for works. Condemnation to Hell has already been established for those in Hell. If they're in Hell it was the General judgement but we all, each and every one, are individually judged by our works...how we lived and what we did..to determine our exact punishment or reward. But once condemned to Hell, you're there for eternity separated from God forever.

There is the General Judgement and then the individual judgement. Revelation also tells us that "nothing unclean shall enter heaven."

The "oops" you're likely to hear is from your own mouth if you die in unrepentant mortal sin and wind up in Hell. Once there, there is no salvation.

You say, Show me the scripture that says you can't enter heaven and preach to the damned?

OK...here's one on not being able to communicate with the damned from Luke 16:23-31

16:23 In Hades, where he was being tormented, he looked up and saw Abraham far away with Lazarus by his side.

16:24 He called out, 'Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus to dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue; for I am in agony in these flames.'

16:25 But Abraham said, 'Child, remember that during your lifetime you received your good things, and Lazarus in like manner evil things; but now he is comforted here, and you are in agony.

16:26 Besides all this, between you and us a great chasm has been fixed, so that those who might want to pass from here to you cannot do so, and no one can cross from there to us.'

16:27 He said, 'Then, father, I beg you to send him to my father's house--

16:28 for I have five brothers--that he may warn them, so that they will not also come into this place of torment.'

16:29 Abraham replied, 'They have Moses and the prophets; they should listen to them.'

16:30 He said, 'No, father Abraham; but if someone goes to them from the dead, they will repent.'

16:31 He said to him, 'If they do not listen to Moses and the prophets, neither will they be convinced even if someone rises from the dead.'"

And about entering Heaven (or not entering) we see:

Revelation 21:27

21:27 And there shall in no wise enter into it any thing that defileth, neither [whatsoever] worketh abomination, or [maketh] a lie: but they which are written in the Lamb's book of life.

The above scriptures from Luke concerning Lazarus and the Rich Man should answer your question of :**correction: show me the scripture that says you can't enter hell and preach to the damned? This makes it very clear once you're there, there is no leaving or communicating outside of Hell.

Now, do you think you should correct this also? **Tell me why you've ridiculed a poor, stupid -nonchristian- ant who knew more about this than any christian who has yet answered?

God Bless and happy scripture studying......

The verse that you mentioned simply meant that sinners, in the future, would be brought up from hell and cast into the lake of fire for all eternity. God bless!

Revelation 20:13-14
13The sea gave up the dead that were in it, and death and Hades gave up the dead that were in them, and each person was judged according to what he had done. 14Then death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. The lake of fire is the second death.

Luke 16:22-24
22And it came to pass, that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels into Abraham's bosom: the rich man also died, and was buried;

23And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom.

24And he cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame.

As Bill stated above, you are dead when you die. The bible actually explains this..Except the problem is that it's normally misunderstood. The dead lie asleep untill Judgement day, when they are 'all' ressurrected to be judged. Then those that don't make it into heaven will be burned to non-existance. They go poof, really.

okay dude, Judgment happens before a person is sent to hell. If your not saved before judgment day, then its too late. Rev. 20:13 is describing something that will happen on Judgment day.
