What if you trying to shut them out of their way of thinking could possibly hurt humanity?

I wonder if this has ever happened?

I do respect genuine contributers to society who do good.

i think that many of them may have already been aborted or allowed to die.

Well, those who don't respect great contributors are obviously afraid that any new ideas will hurt humanity.

AND, that kind of person doesn't think they are great contributors.
If you believe that God could not have created the Earth in any other way except in 144 hours, then you obviously don't think Darwin is a contributor, but a liar.

See where I'm coming from?

I don't respect them because they are contributors. I respect them because I have respect for others.

I don't give reverence to contributors, I give reverence to the God of the contribution.

We are all vessels--both the saved and the unsaved. The only difference is that the saved are the vessels with benefits! *smile*

Seriously, though, I think we look for too many things to give our praise to. I had a big discussion with members of my church about this when Rosa Parks died (my church home is based in Detroit), and I couldn't even get down the major street near my house because thousands and thousands of people were standing out there waiting for her and her horse and carriage drawn casket...all the pomp & circumstance...it was/is ridiculous to me, and I question WHY we pay so much tribute and homage to the vessel, which was then empty as a cocoon once the butterfly emerges. Plain silly to me, yet I resist to display my demise publicly due to my respect for others.

As for me and MY house, we shall serve the Lord...giving praise, honor and reverence to HIM.

Blessings.

Great contributors tend to be strongly set in their ways. That isn't usually a good thing, but on the rare occasions someone like that happens to be right, the combination can work wonders.

Yes, of course.
