I will forever wonder why every single Christian thinks they will go to hell for the actions of others.
Christianity has no place whatsoever in our laws. America is not a theocracy. Separation of church and state, anyone?
Besides, it's not like every single Christian actually gives a shiit about the frozen embryos. It's nothing but a political ploy, a way for the Christians to infiltrate our government even more than they already have. If a situation about frozen embryos arises, and they aren't personally involved, leave it the fuuck alone!!! It is none of their business. I want to shout to them: Don't shove your make-believe morality down anyone's throat but your own, and I hope you choke on it and die!!!!!!!!!

I am totally and completely for adult stem cell research, where people can voluntarily give stem cells and live on...
I am completely against embryo stem cell research, however, for a couple of reasons. First, yes, I believe killing embryos is wrong. I believe that babies have souls as soon as the sperm fertalizes the egg, not when they can feel something or breathe or whatever. I think it is wrong to take someone's life on purpose.
Second, as of last fall (I haven't checked recently) there were NO SUCCESSFUL EMBRYO STEM CELL IMPLANTS. Adult stem cells had been used and were great, but embryo stuff was purely theoretical. It may have changed since than, I don't know.
Third, EMBRYO STEM CELLS CAN TURN INTO A CANCER. I don't know exactly how to explain it, I'm not an expert, but they can multiply so rapidly that they can get out of control. Adult stem cells are mature enough that they won't do that, but they can become whatever kind of structure they need to be.
Like I said, I'm not an expert, but that is what I have learned in my research.
btw, did you know that if you put the entire world population in Texas each person would have 1269 square feet to themselves?!? It's true: Texas has 7,438,152,268,800 square feet, and there are approximately 5,860,000,000 people on earth. I don't think the world is overpopulated at all...

It's really frustrating to me when people say they are against stem cell research. Why do they care more about something that could become a life, but is not one yet than they do for a human that is already alive and has a family and people who love them. All of the time that is being wasted arguing about the morality of it is possibly costing people their lives. All who do not support it, how would you feel if someday you are in need of some medical help that stem cell research could have taken care of, but you didn't allow the research to happen? How about this...allow the research to be done, and if you don't like the idea of it then don't use it!!
In addition, to the people that say we can just use adult stem cells, it's not the same because those cells have already been programmed to function in a certain way. We need to experiment with embryonic cells that are very highly undifferentiated and therefore can possibly be programmed to suite the patients specific needs.
P.s. I totally agree with you bastets!! They need to worry about themselves. So what if they think it's a sin just as long as they're not the ones committing it!!

if we use these embryos then it will only promote the researchers to continue to create more and more embryos simply to be used for research. They are lives from the moment they are fertilized and become embryos. We will be held accountable for our actions. I for one, do not want the blood of another on my hands. Man has made enough of a mess of this country by removing every part of God out of things. God helps us all!!!!

Most people fail to realize the difference between adult stem cell research and embryonic stem cell research. Christians have no problem with adult stem cell research. They can learn all they need to know from the adult stem cells without destroying human beings, however small they may be.

I am all for it. The only down side I can see is that it would prolong many people's lives while the planet's population is already too large.

I'm all for it and I am pro-choice, but I would hate if they began paying mothers for aborted fetuses. That's just rewarding irresponsibility.
