and the liberation of people from hell, and the destruction of hell?
None of the prophets mention it, or predicted it
Jesus never mentioned it
None of the apostles mentioned it
Isn't that a little curious?

It's difficult to believe someone has read Revelation and not seen this:
Rev 20:13And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works.
Rev 20:14 And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.
This says the people in hell will be liberated and judged, and the implication of this is that not all of the denizens of hell go into the lake of fire, otherwise there would be no point liberating or judging them.
Anyone who says there is any mention of the lake of fire in any other book of the bible better give me chapter and verse.

Bob L, is it not simply intellectually dishonest of you to claim these refer to the lake of fire and not hell fire when these prophets never once refer to the lake of fire, but refer repeatedly to hell?
kendal, you are just plain wrong. Revelation (which, remember, is the literal truth of god, unlike your utterances) gives three sources for the judged: hell, death and the sea.

Because of the fact that all this happens later in the future. Revelation is a book of mostly prophesy. And I wouldn't call it a "liberation" from hell either. It's more of a literal "out of the frying pan, into the fire". God bless!

The apostle John prophesied it in Revelation.. Also more is revealed in Revelation than anywhere else and more clearly. God mentioned it as much as he wanted to and it was explained when he mentioned it.. There is already more in the Bible than we can fully understand.
All of the people judged in those verses come from hell and go to the lake of fire. The judgment is a formality where they are shown from the Bible what they did and why.. This is not a liberation, but a formal tial by Jesus the judge. These folks are judged by their works and nobody is justified by their works, so they will all be guilty and will fully understand why..

Death and hell are the same thing. Hell in this instance is translated from the word hadēs properly unseen, that is, “Hades” or the place (state) of departed souls: - grave, hell. Which basically means the grave or death.
Read Ecc 9:5 about the dead, people don't die and goto hell or heaven, they sleep and await the return of the Lord. The second death is hellfire, who knows how long it will last. It is unquenchable fire which will destroy all the wicked at the end.
Some will burn for longer then others, some will suffer more then others. Satan will suffer the most.
Then once all the wicked are burnt up, God will recreate the earth in its former glory for the saints to inhabit forever more.

John was merely revealing what is to come. Not something that had already happened. You are correct, in reference to hell, it is only phrased as the lake of fire in Revelation, but hell is mentioned in many many other places in the Bible.
And just to let you know...people will NEVER be liberated or freed from hell. Once you are there, you are there. No turning back or last minute professions. I don't know where you got that from.
In response to your additional details. Yes, they will be judged. But, just because they are judged, it does not say that they will be freed from hell.

Your premise is good, but not completely true:
Jude 1:7 Even as Sodom and Gomorrha, and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh, are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire.

NO, Revelations is the book of the bible that is all about the end time and prophesies that are being fulfilled. What do you have to read something twice before you believe it?!

What "revelation" are you reading? I've read Revelations many times and have not seen anything in it about liberation of people from hell or the destruction of hell. What are you talking about???

Well because God kept writing this big story about our planet...and he forgot to put in an ending, so some 3rd party editor came in and wrote up a crappy ending.
