He was human afterall and why is the church so threatened by the possibility anyway?

Yes i know what fiction is and yes i know that it is not in the scriptures...however, the scriptures were put together by man. Histroy is not what happened it is what was written down. Everyone has an agenda even back then and especially the church.

It isn't a stretch. It was not essential to his mission, so it is unlikely. Ironically nuns are "brides of Christ."

Its not a stretch - as a matter of fact, I believe he probably was.

Consider: Jesus was called "rabbi" (teacher) by his followers. As was the custom of the time, men got married at a relatively young age and it was particularly important that those who were to be a rabbi be married since it was a sign they were following God's commandment to "be fruitful and multiply." If a man wasn't married by the time he was in his 20's, he was looked upon as being - let's say, strange, since they didn't use the word "gay" in those times.

His followers were almost certainly all married - as a matter of fact, some would periodically go to their home (documented in the bible).

So, who was Mrs. Jesus - quite possibly Mary Magdalene, who, if not, was still a high ranking disciple. A study of the Gnostic bible not only has the Book of Mary, but there are also references to Jesus kissing her, but where is unknown since part of the text has deteriorated. Could have been on the mouth which would indicate a romantic relationship, or he could have kissed her on the hand. We'll never know unless a better version pops up which is unlikely. These books incidentally, were written long BEFORE many of the books of the Christian bible.

the church is not threatened by the possibility. There is no possibility. Jesus KNEW He was going to the cross. it would have been irresponsible of Him to take a wife.
the church is mostly outraged that people
Romans 1:25
who exchanged the truth of God for the lie
If Jesus had been married the scriptures would have told us so, not some modern day fiction

It doesn't say anywhere that he got married. I'm sure if he did the scriptures would've said so. I attend a church where it's okay for Pastors to marry though and I don't anything wrong with a Pastor marrying but there are so places where other disciples were married with families and followers of Christ as well.

The church knows that Jesus Christ was already part of the marriage of Divine Love and Divine Wisdom. The two things that God has that causes a resultant third action on the universe - the Holy Spirit.

The Father, Son and Holy Spirit is like the soul, the body and the works in a single person.

God is already in His marriage.

Well, primarily, because there is no scriptural evidence of His wedding and marriage. A monumental event such as that would have been recorded in the scriptures texts.

So, what you are asking is "Why do we believe the Bible?"

There's the threatening part, because you are questioning sacred scriptures.

I wonder that same thing.. I guess becasue they have so much invested in the belief that he was pure and devoid of temptation.. beign married would imply he was a sexual being.. I think, but I am not sure, this is the basis for celibate priests.. If they changed their thinking now.. their whole world would open up to scrutiny..

It's more possible than not. It's highly unlikely that a man of his age would not have been married. 33 was considered middle age in biblical times and it was the custom for men to marry before then.

The church wants you see Jesus as a divine being...

If you can actually relate to Jesus as a person... you might find some wisdom.

Wisdom is bad news bears for power structures that sustain themselves on ignorarnce.

Jesus IS GOD! Who on this earth would of been worthy to marry him? Besides, the body of believers are the bride of Christ.

why would Jesus need to marry when He is the creator. yes He was 100% man and 100% God but there was no sin in him.. this may not make sense to you but one day all questions will be answered. you can not compare that which is perfect to that which is imperfect. here is an example( it would be like you marrying your mother who gave birth to you) there is not a person alive in their right mind would want to do that, it would be completely unnatural.
