I came across a recipe that involves crushing uncooked noodles and then frying them -- would this work -- something tells me it's not a good idea but I don't know.

yes you can, i do it in a recipe, and theres no problem, what you do is fry them first in oil or butter, until brown and then add water (not alot) just enough to cover the noodles and let them boil till the water boils out.

You sure can. It doesn't take very long to fry though so be careful. Sometimes i fry uncooked spaghetti noodles and then lay them across the plate before I put the food on as a decoration.

Yes, uncooked noodles can be fried. Fried noodles are very common in Asia. Put a little oil, heat it then mix with garlics...

Yes ,it will turn out like chips.I would fry the noodles whole unless they were long and then crush them after cooking

seems like a good idea in the head but in all reality me and you both know it wont work out, the noodles might burn...

u will get crispy noodles like in some chinese restuarant menu. normally it's boil or brought pre-boiled & then u fry it.

I think it can be done, you just have to be careful to not burn them. Once they get burnt, they will ruin your recipe. Probably golden brown is the color you should be going for.

i would not fry uncooked noddles they would just burn or turn rock hard

Not sure of frying. but u can bake them if they are in sauce.

I think it would work with fresh pasta but not dried boxed pasta.
