I'm sick and tired of dealing with crying/screaming/misbehaving kids on planes. Since parents these days are not responsible enough to control their children on their own, I feel there should be a law put in to place mandating that there needs to be a separate section on planes for families with children under 8 years of age.

and grocery stores...

btw... i'm the single father of a child (who knows how to behave!) myself, before others start a -bashin' on me.

I have a 6 year old and even i experience that feeling when my man and I go out for some 1 on 1 time and we are surrounded by screaming kids at our favorite restaurant. I love my son but man sometimes we just need to get away....some parents do more screaming than the kids

Think rationally, do you know how much money the airlines would lose? They're not going to make an area designated for families with small children. They can't do that because they'd have to outfit EVERY airplane with a family area which would take money to build and deny room for passengers who don't have children.

Besides, someone will probably sue and say that it's discrimination or something like that.

Yes, I tend to agree, but until then, try to be as patient as possible, while understanding we were all there once.

Boom boxes on cars should definitely fall under noise ordinance regulations and should be against the law, and as far as I'm concerned, rap music should be agiainst the law, because the lyrics incite violence and that is not protected by freedom of speech.

I like the idea and I get your point, but as someone else said, It would cost too much but here is another idea but its crap.

How bout an airline where only people from 13 and above are allowed to travel. Most 13 year olds have matured by then and get over the tantrums. You cald call it "Tantrum Free Air" or Mature Airways".

Like I said, my idea is bad and unfortunatly yours is too as it would be too much money!

I don't think you're in a very good mood are you? I don't agree that it should be made a law, but it would make some plane rides a little easier to stand.

It is illogical for such a law. Children need to travel, too, and it is not always possible to soothe irritable youngsters in such a cramped environment.

I travel extensively and I always take noise-canceling headphones with me, as well as an engrossing book.

I would caution you to do something likewise to make your travel more palatable, and perhaps exercise your mind to be more tolerant, dear one.

Hey Good IDEA...and in the mean time we can criminalize boom box cars, loud exhaust on cars, trucks and motorcycles. Plus outlaw people talking on cell phones in public places. Those one sided conversations are so annoying.
