Even if you intend on paying, how do you feel about a girl offering? Is it offensive or polite? Do you prefer it or not? Would you let her or no? Remember....the FIRST date...

Let me say again, Im not asking who should pay. Just your thoughts on a girl offering to pay. I always offer only because I was brought up to always at least offer to pay for myself and I guess that carried over into dating.

I always offer to pay with full intentions to pay, but I have to admit, it's a little bit of a let down when a guy lets me.

Oh I think that it should be assumed the guy is paying... Of course I was raised in the era of real men and not boys that are to lazy to work enough to take their girl out. Or hey, while we are on the topic what is with all these girls that I see out on the date and their dead beat boyfriend is riding around in THEIR car? what is up with that ???? I think it is time for the guys that think " I believe in equality" to say what they real mean... " I am only dating you because I want to see if you are easy, if I can do that with you paying all the bills then goody for me... you see deep down inside I know that you are looking for a guy to protect, provide, and love you but all I am is a guy that wants to play nintendo that is horny... but maybe I can fool you long enough to get a little???"

I think it's great....it shows that u r interested in the person, not just what he can do for u....besides u r not as obligated when u r willing to spend on a date, lots of guys view dates a a first step toward sex, & their paying means u owe them something.

It depends on how she acts during the date. She may come off as independent, giving or desperate.
I wouldn't be offended but I probably tell her that this means I get another date so I can pay next time.

Now if you propose at the end of the date,I would be your slave forever! Now to answer your question,I think it's great that you would offer,i would take that as a sign that you are truly a great person to be with and your kind hearted and open minded. It's great to see women like you.

It doesn't hurt to offer. It shows a guy that you aren't a gold digger. but when he says NO, he mean NO. A guy SHOULD pay for it.

i would say that since i asked you out i should pay but if you were insistent and felt that you should, i would let you. then we would have a nice chat on what other things you feel so passionate about

No problem. It shows me that she wants an equal part of the relationship. As long as she is not doing it to put distance/aloofness in there.
