i asked a girl to a dance, but she can't go (entertaining a friend from out of state), should i ask someone else or wait just in case?

Double edge--- Are you really interested in this girl, or was it just someone to go to the dance with? If your hoping for a relationship, wait it out and hope for the best. If not, she did say no, so ask someone else.

Since she already told you no I would ask someone else and go and have a good time. I wouldn't want to wait and see if something changes or you might be going alone or not at all. Go have fun.

Ask someone else. Chances are circumstances won't change, and you'll be stuck without a date. Besides, she said no, she can't get mad or anything if you ask someone else.
