The poster above me mocks the Nicene Creed because his screen name remains in denial to this very day. ONE baptism just as there was ONE Jacob and ONE Torah. That aside....
The Protestants have abandoned the Nicene Creed which clearly states that there is one baptism for the remission of sins - not 100, 1000 or 2 - Just 1.
Catholics and Orthodox believe in the one baptism doctrine.
The other 41,998 denominations believe in whatever.

The Bible says nothing about infant baptism. It does however, say "He who believes and is baptized will be saved" (Mark 16:16). Your heart has to be in the right place when you are baptized, if not then it is just a meaningless ritual. No it is not a sin to be rebaptized, especially since you did not make that decision in the first place. You have to make that decision and do it for the right reason.

An infant is blessed or christened.
Only a person who has reached an age of understanding can be baptized because baptism is a decision that requires repentance. It is symbolic of one's being "born again" and cleansed from unrighteousness.
Acts 2:38
Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.
It is not a sin to be re-baptized, but it is unnecessary.
Blessings!

No Im assuming you were baptized as a Catholic??
Ive been baptized as an infant and later as a consious adult. You should see some arguments against baptizing a child who cannot make the decision of sin.
Baptism should be an outward expression of an inward change.

There is no Biblical instruction that infant baptizm is valid... I was baptized at 12 to please my grandparents.... I had nothing to do with the Church stuff for 40 yrs after... I became one of The Body of The Church at 53...just over 6yrs ago... I was re-baptized a year after my Salvation. I can assure you from the Truth of my Salvation that if one needs to be re-baptized it is not a sin... but only if there was not act of free will in the first or if the first was to no effect as was mine.... there are those who say if some time on in ones walk if there is a need for rededication that a re-baptizm could be done then... I would hesitate to accept that belief...
for one as in my case where there was no act of repentance or true understanding the first time... but the second is for real... God will welcome any one as He welcomed me

No I was baptized twice, I just felt as if I was pushed into being baptized the first time, so I was re baptized again. I had been through some tough times and I just felt that I needed to be baptized the 2nd time.

Definitely not a sin to get rebaptized, especially if you were an infant the first time.
Now as a thinking adult, you proclaim Jesus as Savior. How could that be sinful?

No. Baptism for an adult is a symbol of their commitment to Christ. As renewing your commitment to Christ would not be a sin (in fact Jesus said to daily take up our cross and follow him), then baptism as a symbol of the commitment would not be wrong.
Personally, I was baptized as an infant when about three months old. (My father was a Methodist minister) However one of my sets of grandparents was unable to make it. So about a month later my parents had me baptized again at the grandparent's church.
Years later, I choose to be baptized again as an adult as a sign of re-commitment to Christ. There is nothing wrong with being baptzed again if you want to make a renewed or deeper commitment to Christ.

Why would it be a sin? Don't married couples get married again? Even if you're talking about being re baptized on a different religion it's not a sin either.

Certainly not. Baptizing is a cleansing of the soul and just a symbol of acceptance of God and Jesus. I was baptized twice, once as a Methodist when I was a child and two years ago as a Baptist. If you feel you need baptizing again, there is no harm in it.
