Is god giving them a tour of the solar system first or something?

...I suppose if you thought god lived in the sky, that might make some sense.

There's nothing elsewhere in the Bible or in extraBiblical texts to indicate was a 1st/2nd century metaphor.

I could just as easily say the crucifixion was a metaphor. Where does it end?

Yeah, go figure. Now religious "thinkers" are revising their theory to fit with scientific theory. God and heaven exist "out of time" - a very existentialist philosophy if there ever was one. Also takes care of that pesky "infinity" problem. Christian philosophy is like shooting an arrow into a tree and then painting the target around it so that the arrow is always in the bullseye. How convenient.

HA HA thats funny, but I think it is metephorical. You cannot describe God, but you can describe attributes God with metephores more easily to get the meaning, dont hang onto words look for meanings behind the words.

believers will meet Jesus in the sky, in the twinkling of an eye. I don't know where Heaven is, but I truly believe it exists. It doesn't matter to me where it is. I'll find out one day. I hope you will too.

Because people have to keep inventing crazier and crazier interpretations of the Bible so that they don't admit its just made up.
