First of all, don't crash diet or go on any unhealthy or trendy diets. Realize that losing weight and getting healthy involves a lifestyle change, which means no big changes all at once if you really want to stick with it and keep the weight off in the long term. Start out by eating what you normally eat, but in smaller portions. Introduce well-balanced meals into your diet. Cut out the grease and the carbs over time -- trust me, as you make progress, you'll start to feel guilty for eating this stuff and not crave it nearly as much! Exercise is very important for your metabolism too, but try to make it something you enjoy so that you'll stick with it. Try walking through the park or something; you may find it very refreshing. I started running in the morning, and it has become something I really look forward to. (Plus I lost two pounds in a week!) Good luck to you!

Personally, i believe eating right and exercising are the only things that will help you most likely lose weight. The dieting business is a billion dollar world. Sometimes it does work for people, I'm not saying it doesnt, but if it worked for everyone and everyone was thin, where would the diet business make it's money?

Weight loss is not magic, just burn more energy than you take in. So decrease snacks and portion sizes and do some exercise for 30 minutes per day. You will see a difference. Most people need to get real honest with themselves when they are telling you they have tried everything to lose weight. I bet the majority do not do nearly enough moving every day. Good luck, it is hard work.

Eat only when you are hungry. Eat as many raw fruits and veggies as you can, drink ONLY water, do not eat anything containing high-fructose corn syrup, do not eat anything from fast-food restruants, exercise at least 3 times a week, drink more water, eat fish and chicken, stay away from beef. Have 1 (ONE) piece of your favorite candy or whatever your 'weakness' is a day, so long as it doesn't count for more than 3% of your caloric intake a day. Oh, limit your calories to 2000 a day.

As a bonus, to keep your metabolism from dropping you into 'starvation mode' for not eating as much as you used to, exercise in short, intense bursts no less than 3 times a week for 30 min each session. This flips an evolutionary switch in your brain that tells your body you're out hunting the plains for food and you're being persued by predators. It'll boost your metabolism and help you lose weight faster.

Good luck! I'll be rooting for you!

I stopped eating off big plates and started eating off of cake plates with a small fork. After I eat off the small plate, I drink a glass of water and then I have one (and only one) snack size candy bar. I have thrown out the scale....it only makes me feel like a failure if I don't lose a pound. I never eat with the TV on anymore. If I think I want to eat and I know I'm really not hungry, I go scrub the toilet. For me, it's all about finding another way to deal with stress. I am already breathing easier.

you are able to thoroughly lose 2-3 lbs each week, so in case you lose around 10 lbs a month which would be ninety lbs with the aid of next could. in spite of if, make certain you get your protein too. ingesting salads can't be stable for you interior the long-term. you want protein and complicated carbs, enormously because of the fact you're understanding lots. As for the 6-%., properly, that relies upon on how flat your abdomen is presently. Do dissimilar ab exercises to maintain it problematic, in any different case your abdomen "adapts" to the workout. and of path, you want cardio and protein too. stable-luck!

So many diet plans out there - and so many people trying them that say they don't work.
The only thing that's ever made any sense to me is eat when you're hungry, and stop when you're full (comfortably full, not stuffed).
I do wonder about Kirstie Alley, though - since being 'spokesperson for Jenny Craig', she claims to have lost 65 lbs. by now. All I can say is she's looking great.

As an afterthought - a couple of years ago, Vinnie and I watched a program about the "Water Diet". The doctor said we should drink half of our body-weight of water a day (in ounces).

Very much good luck to you... you're very brave to reach out for help.
