I made a very good brisket in the oven and one in the slow cooker last night for a birthday party, only thing was I think I should've left it in at least another hour or so longer lol, but here's the ingredients:

4 1/2 pounds beef brisket
1 (1 ounce) envelope dry onion soup mix
1 (10 ounce) can diced tomatoes and green chiles
1 (15 ounce) can tomato sauce
garlic powder to taste

1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C).
2. Place the beef brisket in a baking dish. In a bowl, mix the onion soup mix, diced tomatoes and green chiles, tomato sauce, and garlic powder. Pour over the brisket.
3. Loosely cover the brisket with foil. Bake 3 hours in the preheated oven, or to an internal temperature of at least 145 degrees F (63 degrees C).

This is a great finger/party food. I got this from the Pillsbury bake off website. Spicy, takes alot of time, but definetly worth it!!

Jalapeno-Chicken Crescent Pinwheels

Ingredients:

4 oz. cream cheese (from 8 oz pkg.) softened

½ cup chopped cooked chicken

¼ cup chopped fresh cilantro

2 to 3 tablespoons finely chopped sliced jalapeno chilies (from 12 oz jar)

2 tablespoons finely chopped green onions (2 medium)

1/8 teaspoon salt

1 (8 oz) can Pillsbury Refrigerated Crescent Dinner Rolls

Preparation Directions:

1.Heat oven to 375°. In small bowl, mix all ingredients except dough until well combined; set aside.

2.Unroll dough; separate into 2 long rectangles. Place 1 rectangle on long cutting board; press perforations to seal. Spread half of cream cheese mixture on dough rectangle to with ½ inch of edges.

3.Starting with one long side, roll up rectangle; press seam to seal. Cut roll into 16 slices; place slices, cut side down, on ungreased cookie sheet. Repeat with remaining dough rectangle.

4.Bake at 375° for 14 to 16 minutes or until light golden brown. Immediately remove from cookie sheet. Serve warm.

My husband makes these. They're damned good!

What you need:
cream cheese
5-6 green onions, cleaned with the roots cut off but not the white
beef sandwich meat(we use Carl Budding brand)

Take one piece of the beef and spread just enough cream cheese on half to get it to stick to itself once folded over in half.

Coat the folded-over beef with a layer of cream cheese (tricky to do, lemme tell you)

Wrap the green onion with the prepared beef, cream cheese side facing the onion.

Enjoy!
