yep sure is! I have straightened my sons hair at shorter (1-2) lengths. the hardest part is keeping it off your forehead because it isnt long enought to pin back. Use lots of petroleum on the skin around your hairline!!!

It is but if you are unsure another option is a texturizer. It gives you a curly natural look that is low maintance and wonderful for shorter hair.

Yes as long as there is no chemical damage and if ther is no color or bleach. be sure to use a scalb protector and have it done professionally.

yes...its not going to hurt you and if you dont like it you can shave your head or you hair will grow out in about 2 to 3 months anyway
