P.S.:things just got a little more complicated.....2 days after I posted this question,he told me he loves me.....so I guess I know what he means now,I'm just hesitant about what to do next....esp. that I think I have strong feelings for him too,but I haven't told him yet,coz there r so many obstacles to this,not just his age...I'm really mixed up now....any suggestions?preferably from people who have experienced something similar??

I think it means that he likes you but because he is younger he is afraid to tell you or afraid you might reject him because he is younger. Just his way of hinting to you maybe

That's an extremely strange thing to say. It probably means that he can't make up his mind about anything and that he created the two-year age gap problem as an excuse for not making up his mind. It's something I would do.
Either that or he was looking for a roundabout away to express attraction, but he's still a little on the fence.

Depends on the age. 15 and 13 are very different than 60 and 62

He is using this as an excuse to find out what you think about marrying him.
2 year age difference is nothing unless he is 16 and your 18.

Simply put: He sorely wants to court you but he's uncomfortable with the age gap with him being younger. He has yet to realize that age doesn't matter much. But he's still uncomfortable with it. should you tell him that age gap isn't really a big deal with you, he'd be open with his feelings for you.

i think that your friend is scared to tell u that he likes u and is scared of being reject by sum1 older than him... so hes just "testing the water" and seeing if things r ok if he decides to ask u out or tell u that he likes u
