Clock Brightness - 1991 Ford Tempo?

The brightness of the clock on the radio is so dim I can't see it unless it's in the right light and I'm 5 inches from it. Is there a way to increase the brightness? It's a clock, I'd like to have it work right.

1991 Ford Tempo GL, AM/FM Casset. The manual reffered me to another manual that I don't have.

You have to take the radio out and take it apart and replace the bulb that is behind the display.. pretty simple job

basically get the tools to remove from say walmart or autozone that will pull the radio (looks like two Us) then disconnect the radio completely out (push on the connector button and wiggle it out) then unscrew the screws on the front face plate and remove all the knobs... Tilt the front but don't pull and there is a little bulb you have to use a set of pliers to remove.. best to get someone unafraid to do this (like the dealer) or just get another radio aftermarket.

the bulb is a one you can find at most parts stores if I remember.. haven't changed a bulb in one of those radios in about 4 years however

The 4 lights that light the clock may be failing.Turn the light switch to the right to try and increase the brightness. If this doesn't work you should go to the Auto salvage yard and get another clock very cheaply.
