Demons? Well...I don't know, this of course would take us into the realm of the supernatural, and that subject is best left decided by respective religious authorities, or at the very least, if you can do no better, a metaphysician.

However, if we're to stay in the realm measurable realities, poor taste, which if left unchecked may develop chronically into what is commonly referred to as bad taste, is in fact, an affliction closely related to leprosy. If left to run its course, in time, poor taste will continue to degrade its victims sense of judgment to such a point that they are left with no taste at all.

It is unclear what the method of transmission of poor taste is, but it seems to most commonly vector among populations of teen-agers. Occasionally a case of teen age poor taste will go into remission during middle-age only to re-emerge later in life, often in the form of plaid shorts, bad jokes told in public, or in some extremes, shriners' conventions.

Poor taste is not to be taken lightly, however, and should be treated as soon as detected. An outbreak of poor taste, if left unchecked, may potentially spread throughout an entire population and become a full-blown case of zeitgeist.

Yes, absolutely. See, it used to be the way of things that people would sell their soul to the Devil to be the best musician, singer, comedian, actor of their generation, and so gain fame, wealth and all the trappings. This was all very well, but it was very strenuous work, making these nobodies into real talents. Then one demon that no-one had paid much attention before stepped forward through the throng, with a new and a brilliant idea.

He called it the Cult of Celebrity.

"It's very simple," he said. "Have you read the Emperor's New Clothes?"

Turns out that because people have become conditioned to people being famous because of a genuine talent, human beings now believe that simply by virtue of BEING famous, they must HAVE a talent, even if no-one can actually see what it is. The demon who pointed this out to us was obviously given control of the entertainment department, and he's getting better and better as time goes on, reducing the genuine talent quotient needed in any subject in order to weave the spell and capture the souls of armies of fans.

Don't know what he's calling himself these days, but when he had his big idea, his name was Kow-Ell the Slimy...

come on give brit a break. We all make mistakes. I bet you are not perfect but you can act like you are because your crap is not published all over TV & magazines. They are not almighty where they they can maintain a PERFECT image. (the image you want to see) You should be happy that she teaches your niece imperfections so she can see that life has it's ups and downs. EVEN FOR THE CELEBRATIES. So you should not be-littling the popular. I still like Brit and can't wait till she gets back in shape and come back into the lime light with her music.
