they gave you a lot of information that sounds good and is speculative - but no actual proof for evolution since none actually exists- some of the so called evidences of the past have proven to be inaccurate or outright hoaxes so I am wary of what I doi hear- the fact is evidence for the existence of God is all around you -your refusal to believe does not make it not so.
The fact is, looking at it from a strictly physical standpoint, non one person was around at the creation of the world- you can look at all the evidences and come up with any conclusion and make it fit- any one persons story doesn't sound any more or less crazy than anthers and there will always be questions and holes because our 3 lbs of rotting worm food cannot understand and imagine what we don't see and don't know- no one has any physical evidence for what they believe and regardless if it is God, evolution or aliens dropped us here- it all takes a certain amount of faith because NO ONE knows- no one even has a clue.
I believe the bblical account because the Bible has proven itself historically and otherwise over and over again. But even still, I was not there- I can take what the Bible says and put my faith in it or not but I could not make a computer model or begin to imagine exactly what it looked like and what physically occured at the creation of the earth- It takes maturity and common sense to just say I don't know, I was not there and I just don't know- not many people have this- too much pride and arrogance in the way- those scientists you supposedly spoke to don't have a clue and neither do you.

Mmm, thanks for the thoughts. Would you mind an answer from a Jew who also believes in G-d? Science is science and as such is something that you can test again and again in a lab and come to concrete conclusions. Only the dim of wit would challenge this certain truth. However, the theory of gravity does not displace the place of the divine in the human psyche, again only the dim of wit would challenge this. Faith, like art, literature, poetry and music cannot be repeatedly tested under lab conditions but it does not remove its essential validity either. We do not all chose to read W.B.Yeats and nor do all people choose to believe in G-d. This is a simple matter of choice and a fundamental human right, no? Much like, as a scientist, you are free to choose between three theories of general relativity. It will be a while before we can confirm any of them. Science and religion do not dance in the same orbit and for this reason a good scientist can still believe in G-d, or not.
And try not to worry so much, I too accept a general model of evolution. But, unlike you, I choose to seek G-d. Yet I will always respect your choice. Shalom.

Nobody is lying to you. We all have different experiences with God, but you don't want to hear about it. You seem to want to prove God exists the same way you can prove "ivory soap floats", and it just doesn't work that way!
Of course, and this is a "DUH", if you ask atheistic biologists for proof of the existence of God, they WILL tell you there is none to be found. If you want a Christian's idea of proof through sciences, and a good refutation of atheistic evolution, you need to talk to a CHRISTIAN BIOLOGIST.
I don't know where you live, so go online and look up "Christian Liberal Arts Colleges and Universities." There you will find the faculty that is better able to handle your questions.
Since you obviously think anybody without a PHD is a stupid hack that can barely dress themselves...

Evolution does not disprove the existence of God, nor is it necessarily in conflict with God. The issue here is faith. We are to except God on faith. Don't for a minute think that science is void of faith. The first step in scientifically proving anything is to except a premise on faith and then look for proof. All those who state and believe that God is real have found their proof. Each person must find their own proof; the search begins with faith.

I'm a Christan and I think in order to answer your question I need to ask you to give me proof that God doesn't exist, for I myself am faithful toward my God, because I know he does work in mysterious way. I don't have all the answers, all I can say is faith can do wonderful things. You have a free will to do and ask these questions and i think you present a valid point and I was a lot like you in my youth, but with everything that has happened in my life I now see a reason for God's existence. I now have an insight to my God that few people have, and my intimate relation with my God is very unique, for it is most hard to describe in human terms as I am no artist skilled in arts and letters; all I can say is I do believe, for I have first hand knowledge that is very personal. If you choose to not believe more power to you, I know my God is bigger than both of us and he can take it, I think he would welcome your input because at least you are thinking of him.

It's really hard for people to believe what they cannot see. That's why there is so much talk of having FAITH in the bible. We cannot see God, but we have faith that he is there, because the bible says so. Our 'proof' is the bible and it's contents. It's funny, I just had this talk with my 8 year old today! We have to have faith everyday. We have faith that when we get into a car with another person, that they are not going to get into an accident. We have to have faith that our checks are be in on the day that they are suppose to be. Shoot, we have to have faith that when we leave McDonalds drive thru, that all our food is in the bag and they didn't screw up our order! We are taught at a very young age to have faith. And if you read the bible, and believe it as trillions of believers do, then you have to have faith that it's contents are true. It's much better to believe that when you die, that you go onto a better place then just being placed in a box in the ground, isn't it? That's what heaven is for...........

If u want proof that God is real go into meditation for one day at a church, and think hard, ask god for the answers that u thrive for. within a week u should have a dream that u wont be able to remember, but u will know more and u will feel the proof. u will remember bits and pieces of it as time passes and the knowledge is needed.

I like Worshipful Heart's answer the best, and thank God there are millions of Christians on this venue! Awesome people! I believe the key is to humble yourselves to the point where you must let into your soul the very notion that there is a God who watches over His creation to see if there be any who would be receptive toward His voice and believe His Word at face value so that He can begin to transform their hearts and lives into very useful and productive channels through whom to bless others around them, and that must first begin with the verifiable premise that the loving God of the heavens which has created them also loves them and desires to save and use them for His benefit and their good.

1 Now faith is the substance (title deed) of things hoped (assurance) for, the evidence (proof) of things not seen.
2 For by it the leaders obtained a good report.
3 Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the Word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear (are visible). Hebrews 11:1-3.
Just look at creation & read these scriptures (Heb. 11:1-3) out loud. Faith comes by hearing & hearing a word about Christ / God. Get the faith.

Believing in evolution and believing in God are 2 totally different issues. I believe organisms change in response to their environment and probably do change or "evolve" over years and years of time. But my challenge to you is: create a bird. Create a fish. Hum. Yeah. You can't do it. That's where God comes in. He is the great creator. Only God can do that. All religions deal with a question of "faith". Faith cannot be proven by scientific methods. So if you're looking for scientific proof to prove evidence of God...you're never going to find it. God can be compared to wind - you can't see the wind, but you know it's there because you can feel the wind. You can't see God either, but He's there by the good I can feel. If you look for God, you'll find him. But you have to make that faith-leap. If you think Christians are lying to you, then you're going to have trouble making any leap of faith to find God, because you'll not recognize how God will reveal Himself to you. But I hope you do find Him.
