What most men say is mostly bull anyway but you are probably closer to the truth when they are drinking......

This is a great question. Coming from a guy I would say yes, it's mostly true but you have to remember that the alcohol makes you want to make EVERYone feel better, too. It may be laid on pretty thick but I think the underlying theme is true.

This is especially true if you have good intuition and just know that the guy is coming off with sincerity. There are some men, sure, that'll say whatever they think needs to be said to get together with you for the evening, but if your intuition is right on, believe in what is being said (and have fun/be flattered).

Drinking will make it easier for the guy to open up to his true feelings toward any girl. They will say things that they really want to say sober but are to embarressed or think it will be corny or afraid of rejection. So when a guy is drunk and he says " hey you look really good" he means it, as if he were sober he would think it but probably not approach you.

As a cab driver, I know that men and women say and do dumb things when drunk. Is it what they really mean? Maybe yes, maybe no. As I tell ones who ask me this, ask the person when they are sober, and see. The most recent one was a young woman whose best friend came onto her, sexually, while drunk. They had known each other since they were kids. She had no such physical feelings toward her friend, and didn't know what to do. I told her to wait to the next day when the friend was sober, and go out to coffee, to clear things up. Last time I spoke to her and she said she chickened out and didn't talk to him, and they have not spoken of it since.

I think there are three times when people (or men ) will say what they really mean, I know I have been guilty of it.
One: when you are drunk ( if you hurt someone you get to hide behind your drunken state)
Two: when you are really angry ( all the societal niceties go by the wast side)
Three: when you are being sarcastic, you get to say the truth and if it offends someone hide behind the fact that you were just kidding (this one is very cowardice and I refuse to use it, but feel that sooo many people do)

When i use to drink it was to loosen up so that could say what i felt like saying when i was sober. But seeing as how alcohol alters your thinking, what comes out is saying I'm sorry and i won't do it again, and lets ****.The first thing was a lie her,the second being drunk i couldn't do because the liquor wouldn't let me get it up.I lied to her and myself.

When I used to drink I think that it was easier for me to say what I really WANTED to say about something regardless of how I really felt. My ex would ask me how she looked, and I would say, "You look FUGLY!" even though I didn't think that at all, I just wanted to upset her. In a sober state I would keep restraint on my comments. But when I would get loaded, I would say everything and anything to get a reaction out of people.

I think drinking makes them say things that they usually would not say and then the next day they don't remember and they think it is easier to get you to have sex with them when they are feeling good after drinking.

It can go both ways. I know some guys that knows everything they say and do. even when they're falling down drunk and sleep. But actions speak louder than words any giving day.

I agree w/ sickwidit...I think the truth does come out when a guy is drunk or at least has a buzz on...they let their guard down & the feelings flow....
