Sneezing? Can any1 sneeze with their eyes open?

My husband said he can and I know it is immpossible. He is a multi sneezer too. I think he is pulling my chain.

i was able to do it once or twice, but i wasn't out on mission to do so, i was driving and i force myself to do so. i've hear that it's impossible to sneeze and keep their eyes open, but i've also hear that you can't sneeze more than 2 times in a row. i've done 17 sneezes in a row more than once, i was gasping for air and tearing up during my sneeze-fest. only reason why i knew i had sneezed 17 times in a row was because i was around someone. and when you hit a certain number people like to count... -_-!

My son says he held his eyes open once, just to prove that they won't pop out. Other than that it's a reflex reaction to close your eyes when you sneeze.

I've tried to, but I can't.

I once read somewhere that it's humanly impossible to sneeze w/ your eyes open because when you sneeze it's instinct to close them.

Nope. It's a reflexive response, just like the reflect when something hits your knee and you kick (at the doctors office). :)

I have never seen or known anyone to do this, it is a reflex that is why you close your eyes.
